We have become so confused about what prisons are for. They are to separate us from men and woman who are dangers to society. Prisons are not meant to be homes for addicts, the poor, and the mentally incompetent. They should be housing murders and rapists. I get what you're saying and I agree with you, but imo this man doesn't deserve to live anymore. I would say life in prison without the possibility of parol, but let's be honest, this man doesn't deserve mercy and he doesn't deserve my tax money to keep him alive. No chance of rehabilitation.
