Would you like Gaga to work with a Korean/Japanese artist?

With a Japanese artist definitely, the music market in Japan is huge and i think they would love someone like Gaga working with their artists.

 

For example Perfume who are a pretty unique group who have interesting visual concepts and music.

Korean artists on the other hand i'm not so sure of. I can't see anyone outside YG entertainment collaborating with Gaga since they have little to none artistic freedom.

 

I think Gaga and someone like G-Dragon would be the best combination and i think they would be able to come up with something really interesting. I could also see her working with someone like CL though i don't want Gaga going in that direction.

 

But the reason why i think it would never work out is because of the bat**** crazy K-pop fans who have absolutely no idea when it comes to the actual music and will brainlessly hate on whatever is made. Most international fans k-pop hate on Western artists in general and someone like Gaga is hated beyond measure.

 

That's why i personally feel a Japanese artist would be the way to go because they are unique. Only a few Korean artists i could realistically see collaborating with Gaga but it would be a hassle.

 

EDIT: People seriously suggesting SNSD to collaborate with Gaga...that would be like trying to drive a Ferrari without an engine.

Excuse me, meanwhile I understand that you don't like them. And rightly so.

But maybe you still need to learn a thing or two about SMAP before spitting some of these ignorant post.

They are pretty much a Japanese pop legend.

Very successful in all they did, spanning from singing, acting, emcee, radio announcer, and more.

They started their career innlate 80s and still have high profile career until today.

Had recorded more than 20 albums.

And highly popular, not just in Japan, but in neighboring countries as well.

And sold out multiple dates of shows in Tokyo Dome.

Which is a big deal in Japanese pop culture, every successful act will want to perform at the Dome.

There are not one Japanese that doesn't know who they are.

Actually, it is an honoured for Gaga to be able to stand along side them, twice, on their variety show; SMAPxSMAP.

Because by appearing in that show, it will heighten the locals interest in Gaga and her music even more. So much more.

 

Oh wow, they are pretty famous and had a long successful career. I totally understand how worthy that performance was for promo in Asian countries.

 

But I don't even need to know who the hell they are or how much they've sold so far to think and to say how bad they were during the performance. 

 

Just like Madonna. I stan for her. But she's bad when it comes to singing. And I don't hesitate to say she's bad or try to "get your facts right" bitc*ing when someone says that.

 

It's only my opinion. Just because I don't like SMAP it doesn't mean that I'm ignorant.
