Lol ARTPOP/Gaga couldn't get any worse.

She's just a shade of whom she used to be in her fame moster days.

You're a Rihanna stan criticizing someone for not working hard enough, when you've been a fan of one of the pop girls least involved in their music, ever. Laughable :toofunny:

Sampling a single element from another song is less intrusive than copy+pasting an entire composotion. Gaga had literally NO creative input in these instrumentals.

THIS im fine with the fact that Gaga recycled because she made it her own but I mean for the amount of time we waited for this album... :wtf:

THIS. She bought the rights to the songs so there isn't anything wrong with that, but the wait for this album was ridiculous. But I guess it is because they recorded over 50 different songs for the album.

Mess. Lost my faith in Gaga "the artist" a bit. She said she is always full in control. This makes it look like she picked a instrumental and added her vocals on it.

It sounds similar, I'll give it that, but nice of the producers to comment.

I hope not, oh man.

it sounds "similar"......? It's literally the same ****ing song. https://m.soundcloud.com/reminiscence-records/do-what-u-want-dance-with-the but yet her team denied using this track at all...sure gaga....sure. Anyone who thinks DWUW wasn't a recycle should listen to this. Honestly speaking tho. This version is like 1000000x better. She needs dance with the dead to produce on her next album and do 80's glam techno rock Edited by destructivelove

I think there are probably more recycled songs on the album, but these are the only ones that have been confirmed.

But truthfully the only songs im 95% sure of that theyre original are Dope and Venus. Maybe Applause. But I guess that G.U.Y. is probably recycled as well (Zedd), and perhaps even Gypsy (Madeon), because I'm seriously starting to doubt that they created original instrumentals.

Venus is basicly Rocket No. 9 by Zombie Zombie so...

Kindness rules all.

Venus' first verse and verse structure is sampled, but everything else lyrically and melodically is original. Unless you're talking production, in which it is all original (other than the Zombie Zombie vocal sample, of course). Dope, I'm sure is completely original. On the note of these two songs, they were actually the quickest, and last to be, made. It's interesting to consider that for these songs in particular, Gaga took the production reins (Venus is her own production with help from Madeon; Dope she worked with Rubins, but he said that most of the song was all her).

I don't know, just food for my thought.

3 points in and ready for more

Whats worst about this is that I'm starting to doubt all of my favorite songs by Gaga now

Slowly but surely... All of ARTPOP seems to be recycled old instrumentals that were used by someone else before her :awkney:

I have a feeling that 2012 had a really driven, really epic experimental album happen. Remember when she showed the label the record in July 2012?? What if she did and they didn't like it? And what if Troy had forced her to scrap what she had made and start from scratch? To top it off she had all these FAME perfume promo appearances in 2012 along with her tour add that with her surgery and a forced deadline to make the new album... I'm really not surprised she recycled beats. I've been saying since the minute Applause released, this isn't what she wanted. This is something she had no choice on. I believe that's why we had hardly any promo, I mean yeah she did her best in terms of making the best out of a bad situation, but this was never her ARTPOP vision to begin with. Basically the music industry f*cked her over after her surgery "release something NOW and make us $$ or you're done."

 just my theory.

I'm sure stems of this are true to some extent, labels have 2-3 major releases a year which are cash garners and I'm sure not having one your biggest artists release anything for a while wasn't the best thing in terms of business for the label.

That being said I don't see the major deal with this, she essentially bought a beat she enjoyed from DJ's she liked and transformed them into what they were. The songs themselves are still original. All the tracks she released still are a jam, this song is even a bop that leaked.
