Slayer 9,227 Posted June 14, 2014 Share Posted June 14, 2014 What do you think? I have high hopes for C2C being an incredible album, but I'm not sure it will be a great commercial success. Tony Bennett is a big name (and so is Gaga, obviously), so I'm sure it will have some success, but I don't exactly see a Frank Sinatra cover soaring to the top of the Billboard Hot 100. As with most things, promotion will reap rewards, but somehow I don't see them performing the songs together very much. A) She's on tour and B) Tony Bennett is 80+. I have a feeling they will release this album and do a simple music video for a song and that'll be it. No performances, maybe an interview or two. I'd like to be proved wrong, but I doubt I will be. And jazz fans have praised Gaga a lot for hr vocal performance in The Lady Is a Tramp. So yes, it will be an album of high quality. Bur quality=/=success. So it might not be a huge seller. It might win one or two or even three Grammies though. The singles might not be huge hits but the album still might be a big deal.
