GypsyPrince 237
He's one of her only friends in Interscope who remotely listens to what she has to say so now that he's gone, other executives probably won't give two hoots about Gaga and her creative control. The fact that some of y'all said he ruined her career when he was the one who built it up...

ALX 170
Please enlighten us all about how the industry works then hun.. Usually you sit with your manager and go through all the recorded material for the album, you narrow down a final track list and then the manager and marketing team are essentially the people that choose the single Rarely is it all the artist's say and the execs don't have the time to go through all these songs for one album Would Iovine sit there and listen to the high volume of music the artists are always producing? jxckk 959
Hmm. I don't understand where this notion that there will be drastic "favourable" changes with regards to Gaga is coming from. If the article from Billboard has to be believed, the new CEO has been in full control of the label even long before this announcement, considering he's already the President / COO of the label and the fact that Iovine has been preparing his entry to Apple. It's the same time of the promotional run for G.U.Y., and it's also the time frame wherein Interscope hasn't released a hit single yet as opposed to its rival labels. The last hit they had, I believe, was OneRepublic's Counting Stars. And that was during the first two months of this year. It's also currently the highest-charting single from Interscope on the HOT 100 chart, which has now left the top 20. If these are any indication of how this label is going to be run, I wouldn't say it's promising. But, it's still too early to tell for us to pass judgment. Same goes on whether this new change would benefit Gaga or not. However, if there's one thing certain, Iovine was very vocal of his support for Gaga, something John Janick isn't... yet. this
