Now imagine that but on a global scale. I am sorry but I don't buy that it isn't bothering her in the slightest. What if the other person is a brown-noser who is pandering to management? Her whole "i dont care about the charts" claims are clearly coming from a place of frustration. If ARTPOP was a huge success than that topic would have not been brought up in the first place. Need i mention the first single of this whole era was about how she lives for the "applause" of others. That doesn't mean she's not here for the music. I believe she would still be playing in small clubs now and writing music if The Fame never happened. She's a passionate artist and loves to make music. But everyone would be happy if people recognize your talent and buy your music and you get all the praise... Also, ever since she's not the queen of the charts anymore, she suddenly started to tweet and talk about how she's not here for the charts...weird tbh...it shows that it bothers her.. I remember when she tweeted out to her millions of fans, including me, that whomever purchased the most copies of "Applause" she was't gonna gift us with ....can't remember lol... All the info we got were from Haus members. I think it's clear that she doesn't care to top the charts anymore. "Music not the bling" "**** pop music, this is ARTPOP" "I don't need to be on top to know I'm worth it" I honestly think that she only promotes when she does because it's in her contract. This. Gaga won't do anything to compromise her art. Sure, she enjoys when her music is recognized such as in the charts, but she won't write music for that purpose. I think it's wonderful to see a person with so much artistic integrity and commitment and has the courage to put art ahead of commercialism. I live outside the space time continuum. And I'm more sure that the main thing that irks her is the constant comparison between her and other artists; the whole Katy vs Gaga must have just made her livid.
