It was briefly brought up in one of my university lectures last year, as being similar to the Andy Warhol artworks of Marilyn Monroe placing emphasis on the feminine aspects of lips and eyes, with Gaga's version being described as 'a bit more fierce'. Would've much preferred an album cover like this ^^ Or would've been better if Gaga used the BTW single art cover or even TEOG art cover as the official album cover.
