I think I know a basic bio of every famous sim.

What we know so far:

The Goths

They will be featured in The Sims 4.

Mortimer is still young, meaning Bella hasn't been abducted yet.
Bella will be a playable adult like in The Sims.

Production

Game will be released in September.

A new trailer featuring the Goths will be available next Wednesday.
Will be a game engine that is completely different from The Sims 3.
Will feature Create-A-Style
Features curved roofs.
Features CAS copied from Spore.
Features more advanced drag-a-wall building tools to make building easier.

Features Primary Aspiration and Traits.

In-Game Content

Features 'emotions'.

Features WooHoo, Hacking, Cooking, Gardening, Guitar, Writing and Violin as skills.
Features open restaurants (There still will be rabbit holes).
Features more diverse parties.
Features multitasking.

Timelines

Due to the new info on the Goths, the game will NOT be set after The Sims 2.

The game is now either before or after The Sims.
The absence of Alexander and Cassandra in the picture may hint that the game is set before The Sims.
If it is set before The Sims, the game might start with just one neighbourhood, Sunset Valley/Old Town/Pleasantview.
If it is set after The Sims, the game might start with the three neighbourhoods, Sunset Valley/Old Town/ Pleasantview, Strangetown, and Veronaville.
If the game is set before The Sims, Don Lothario would be an elder, at the same time Don Lothario is a kid or has just been born.
Due to Bella and Mortimer still being young, Mortimer's parents could still be alive if set before The Sims, like the Goth Sr family.
If set before The Sims, Agnes Crumplebottom would still be alive, meaning we can still play as her before she becomes Miss Crumplebottom in The Sims:Hot Date.
If set after The Sims, famous families like the Specters, Grunts, Smiths, Curious, Beakers, Montys, Capps, Langeraks, Broke/Newbies, Calientes, and the past Lotharios could make a comeback. These families could possibly, (or not) be featured in The Sims 4 if set before The Sims.

 

Stuff that needs to be known:

Will feature Create-A-Style.

Won't have the crappy Sims 3 and Sims 2 (in the end) game engine, instead, will feature a brand new game engine, which hopefully isn't as buggy.

Will feature 'SmartSim' Technology.

Just to clarify, the devs said there won't be Create-a-Style

 

And they could still have other neighbourhoods, because they're independent in storyline Like Sunset Valley is 25 years before The Sims, but Twinbrook is like 50 years before The Sims, and Barnacle Bay is like 1-2 years before or after The Sims 2. They only had one neighbourhood in The Sims 3 base game because they were lazy

They did say there would be Create-A-Style added though.

 

The Sims 3 was a mess with its time eras, and we're focusing on the main storyline, which was Riverview and Sunset Valley.
