Anderson123 31,164
I can't really tell which expansion pack is my favorite. Probably Seasons because of that nostalgia feel I get, and of course, Pets. But there have been really good expansion packs like Late Night, University and Generations, and more recently, Into The Future. Â Seasons, Pets, Late Night and Generations remind me of back in the day when I used to play Sims 1 during summer for hours. Dayman 5,903
All the sims people have been making look so lively and real. It's not like The Sims 3 where all the sims looked the same and had that chubby face syndrome. Look at some of these I found - it's amazing how by making it more stylized it feels more life like. I won't ever need custom content with sims this good looking. Edited August 14, 2014 by Dayman

LoveandMagic 1,731
I love the Sims. I have most of the Expansions and Stuff packs for Sims 1-3. I honestly couldn't pick a favorite generation of the game, because they all have major pluses and minuses. However saying that, while I love the new and improve Sim making feature, the base game looks too basic and boring for me to spend 60 - 70 bucks on. I do expect it to improve a lot over time and make a really great series in the future, I'm not spending that kind of money for that. The Sims 3 base game was like that (to me), and while I found so many improvements, the game play wasn't good for me until the Expansions.  Plus I've just downloaded the Ultimate Edition of the Sims 2 and still have a lot I want to do with the Sims 3, so I'm going to wait on the Sims 4. Just repeat to yourself, "It's just a show. I should really just relax."

I'm running the demo on medium settings and its working fine. Do you think that's a sign that game should run okay? I know the game is a lot more than that but if the demos working then the game should work too???

I think it should, the game has loading screens that loads small areas of the map unlike sims 3 where it had to load everything

The whole open world concept of the sims 3 was a mess. I checked my old computer... The one I played on with the sims 3 and it said it met the minimum requirements but it was always so laggy and if I made my sims too fat or skinny There whole body would dislocate. It was strange. They also said that the sims 4 was made to work on older computers. So hopefully the loading screens and all that help the game run smoother. I can see from the demo that it does run pretty smooth though. :)
