She makes it work in songs like Obsessed or Migrate. And I'm so excited about .... MC15 I'm hoping there will be better promotion and management now that she's back at Sony. Yes she does. I don't have a hard time admitting it. She lip syncs some parts of her songs or in rare cases the entire song. You have to remember Mariah songs are not like any other songs. She showcases 3-4 octaves in a single song. That more than trained professional singers can sing overall. On shows like American Idol and The Voice they actually tell contestants not to sing any of her songs cause that is usually described as "vocal suicide". I don't judge her for lip syncing cause she's had such a huge career and she has proven countless times that she can sing; live and in studio. And honestly if she came out just laying on a sleigh, smiling and waving at the crowd, while her christmas hit plays in the background. It'd still think its iconic. Cause she's a legend. I don't exactly condone Mariah lipsyncing, but as you've already mentioned, Mariah's vocal performances tend to be so next level that even she can't replicate herself over and over again.
