Did you even watch the video??? She was beat all over her body for 6 consecutive minuets! And she was begging her mother to stop. Im sure that girl wont post nudes again but im sure she is scared to go anywhere near her mother now.

Where are the social values we supposedly have? Social values are something that all people have to agree on for them to work. We all (most of us anyway) agree that murder, rape and theft are bad things, for example. These are social values. I am not the one who came up with them, it's the people of the world who did. These are things a Society needs to work.

 

I am quite aware that this woman probably grew up in an environment where beating children is common, it's highly likely she was beaten by her parents as well. These parts of the world sadly don't have the same social values we have. This, however, does not justify what she is doing. And everyone born in a part of the world where beating children in any way is (rightfully) not legal, should know that trivializing what is happening in this video is not an option. I am definitely not disrespecting the woman for the way she grew up. She knows no better. But isn't it our mission to spread the social values we have all over the world? It is true, I am criticizing those who say "it's not that bad". With statements like this, no matter how small and insignificant they seem, there is no way the world will ever achieve a violent free future. And in the long term, this will become a huge problem.

 

In the future, we as a civilization will come to a point where we will either destroy ourselves or move on to the next stage. These are the only options. And as long as "opinions", like some people call them, like the ones in this thread exist, there is no way we will make it through. This is what many scientists have been trying to say for years, but no one really listens.

 

I, as a citizen of the world, as someone who luckily grew up in an environment where beating children is considered a crime, and as someone who believes in a violent free future based on social values everyone agrees on, can not accept an opinion supporting violence in any way.

:roll: no, child ****ography is a huge issue, and I would have no problem punishing a mature adult that had pressured a child into sending nude pictures. But don't be stupid, that isn't what we're dealing with here, we are dealing with the child that posted them. If anything, this child is a victim, they may have been coerced into sharing those pics online. What that girl needed was an education into what she was really doing, and help from professionals who could help her deal with it, she did absolutely not need to be viciously attacked like that. Therefore, to punish this child was simply unwarranted and barbaric.

I am utterly shocked that you would accept this kind of behavior, and I hope you never have children as they would not be safe with your attitude towards parenting.

All of you are such "martyrs" for social justice yet have no issues not seeing that this affected this girl's life in the long run throughout high school, college if she attends, as well as any careers she could have had in the future.

Wow congrats, she's setting her daughter up for a life of abusive relationships. Kids learn from the behaviour and actions of their homes not the "intent". Nothing says "I care about you" more than a damn near 10 minute beating.

Maybe, how would you know why she posted them? And anyway it doesn't matter, her mother obviously never educated her with regards to what was inappropriate at her age s-xually, where else was she supposed to learn it from? 

Well I for sure know that I, my siblings and my close friends would never post inappropriate images on the internet because we understand what it means and the consequences of doing so. We know that because we have been educated well, and I can assure you I -and my friends- have never been subject to physical abuse in order for our parents to get their points across.

You act like the only option for parents is to attack their children to control them, and that is the most pathetic idea of parenting I have ever heard of.
