I dunno how it was in your household and with your parents but what you did as boys is boys like behaviour and child like behaviour to test the limits. In my eyes your parents choose a quick and temporary fix that added nothing to the understanding you should have between a parent and a kid. I just have other methods to keep her "in check" because I don't think she learns anything from me whooping her. I'm sick of people here acting as if there is no way to properly discipline your child without hitting them. That is entirely false. People shouldn't discredit other cultures on the basis of their own and it comes off as foolish and ignorant when they paint that picture of omniscience. I just can't at all you guys defending whipping kids with a belt Like what the hell It makes me feel sick to my gut that people advocate violence. And towards children! I had a violent father growing up, and it was HORRIBBLE. Anyone who beats a child is an unfit parent and should have their children taken off them. If that's the only way to let your morals speak, you're not very far off being barbaric. You choose to believe that smacking kids is what this woman does on a daily basis and act like she's an uncivilized yahoo who didn't warn her children to not send naked photos of themselves or associate with young men like that. But fantastic, let's just label other cultures barbaric because that is productive. :| No, I'm going to make sure he/she is aware of how and why he/she could hit rock-bottom by engaging in those kinds of activities.
