zexion_armando 241
Hahaha! Are you insane? Highest grossing tour by any female artist in 2011. If "she couldn't hold a note" do you think that would be the case. Over 1,000,000 copies in the first week (without cheating). You sir, can take a seat. All because she sells a lot doesn't mean she has talent. Call of Duty, Avatar, and several other overhyped mega selling franchises would like to have a word with you, I never really understand it when morons enter that artist's thread on here just to start arguments and shade. I just said a simple lyric bothered me, in a topic relevant to that artist, lol. I couldn't make my own topic, since it would be just a bunch of links to this topic to post in. Of course, how do you expect people to react when someone says you belong in a metal hospital. Which for the record, I never said I hated the song, I just hate the pronunciation. That was a troll comeback. I don't listen to taylor other than her singles (Which are all shallow songs, which is probably the point, to be mainstream music about boyfriends and typical high school nonsense) so I have no opinion of her. So if she has a song discussing something other than that, typical country drivel, or some boring death drama, or something that makes me think, I just file her under "Simple music for simple people" Wouldn't it bug you if someone extended a single syllable word into more than that, especially for a chorus? I mean, come on. lol

MattyMonster 3
What the hell happened here last night? I agree, her voice fits with what she does. I think she does great things with her voice - like vulnerability, as you said. I think Taylor definitely has a unique voice. Besides Gaga, most of my favorite artists sound "okay" live. Meaning, they don't have killer vocals or anything. But their voices are unique and work very well with what they do. that's just me.
JeffSwift 314
Here we go again with the "all she sings about is high school" comment. Which songs does she reference high school in besides Fifteen? There surely aren't enough to make a generalization like that. To be perfectly honest though, you mentioned that "All because she sells a lot doesn't mean she has talent. " I don't understand what you mean by that? Fearless sold over 500,000 copies in it's first week. If she didn't have any talent how come Speak Now sold over a million in it's first week. Your arguments really do not make much sense. Also, saying Taylor Swift doesn't write meaningful lyrics which besides Adele i think she writes some of the most meaningful lyrics. At least she doesn't hide all of her emotions in a cryptic world like gaga does lol.
