Lady Gaga continues promoting her brand new album Joanne in Japan. The singer-songwriter stopped by Japanese show News Zero on Friday to deliver an emotional performance of the album's title track.
"For me it's like the true heart and soul of the record," Gaga said of the ballad during an interview with Beats 1. "We wrote that song and the decision to name the album Joanne was ultimately in tribute to my father's sister who died when she was 19. He was younger than her and she was very sick with lupus. The death of her in his family and in his life really left a scar and a wound that never healed."
