Birthday really gets on my nerve... The "quality" of a song, err rather the perceived quality of a song, doesn't have anything to do with charts whatsoever. It all boils down to massive appeal. Harlem Shake, for crying out loud, debuted at #1 thanks to streaming. Flo Rida, the rapper lambasted for being the so-called King of Autotune, has the same amount of HOT 100 #1s as Gaga's. If the criteria of topping the HOT 100 chart is the same as the ones being implemented at the GRAMMYs, more than 60% of the chart-toppers then shouldn't be called as one.
