Actually no hun!

It's easy to get top 40 on iTunes but on Billboard it's a lot harder.

No need to get angry with facts.

I just reported you - good to see you are mature to acknowledge facts!

thanks

**** off hun,  Katy Perry's Birthday is being PUSHED on radio like It's top 5 on Itunes. Get your FACTS str8.  And if I get a WP, for calling out a "quiet" hater on GGD, then CHEERS.  You are like a MOUSE omfg :rip:  Sneaking in GGD, pretending to "like" Gaga, and pretending to "be objective" :toofunny:  Too bad you've no idea how many like you, we've had in the last 3 years here :lmao:   At least if you're trying to drag, do it properly.  A simple math could show you that  GUY would have the same Itunes position as Birthday with the same AIRPLAY.

I'll tell you what is facts:

Birthday getting 3M updates in the day of the video release and getting only  2.5M views in 24h

GUY being 11 minutes longer, getting only 0.5M update and getting 6.8M views in 24h

Radio ignoring that and not playing GUY whereas Radio PUSHED Birthday in top 100 of itunes, which wouldn't have happened if it was getting the same updates as G.U.Y.

Hun, You are right I don't love lady gaga but that doesn't mean I don't have an opinion.

Reported again

Thanks for a mature discussion.

Telephone was her last #1 on Pop, excluding BTW. She was obviously a radio darling back then, at least within her home format. Until the MV of Alejandro happened where the anti-Gaga sentiment (Madonna comparisons, blasphemy) started to gain mainstream attention. And that broke her streak of #1s from there. And interestingly, as Gaga took a break to prepare for BTW's release, Katy was rapidly embraced by Pop to become their new poster girl and they never left her ever since.

I have said it a lot of times ... for me Alejandro is the song that hurt Gaga most in the US since that single era everything turned against her then BTW single and Judas releases happened and since then US has abandoned her

That MJ song is good, but there's nothing to rave about. I'd give it a month before radio drops it completely.

Hey Perez does it really matter if it doesn't reach Number 1?

Charts don't really matter that's what Gaga and her fans generally say.

If they do matter Katy has had an amazing era and has had huge hits her lowest charting track from PRISM is currently Birthday at 37 but is rising!!!!

So even with a bad video compared to GUY [which I personally dont think is great - but it had a huge budget] 't has already charted 40 spots higher. Goes to show the quality of a video doesn't really matter it's the quality of the track overall.

Do you agree Perez?

Are you seriously saying that Birthday is a better song than G.U.Y? :fail:

Anyway rihported annoyin troll :cryga:

Without the media outcry (along w/ more promotional push), I'm fully convinced that she could have scored 7 consecutive number ones on Pop even before BTW. She had the world under her hands back then.

Do you think MJH can be a hit ? (well obviously now, NO, but just imagine that Gaga has momentum) It's strangely catchy I think with a really visually stunning VIDEO (with Green lights, marijuana etc. ) It"d be interesting how it will chart, I really love it

Not exactly because the break could've really well healed that "controversy" around the video.  THe start was alejandro indeed but then BTW was a huge thing (both as a good message but also controversial) and then Judas was too much I guess...

I really can't understand the Alejandro Issue.  People in EUROPE loved the video and the song smashed as hard as Bad Romance   In Bulgaria it was number 1 half of the summer on the Airplay chart :rip:  It was pushed by Love the way you lie (otherwise it would've stayed even longer)...   California Gurls was number 1, then Alejandro and then LTWYL..  it is still my favourite summer when it comes to summer hits

omgggg yes I remeber 2010 every week she was #1 on The Voice top 10 for couple of months  EU is just not that stupid as US and that's so obvious. The US did not see the message behind the video they saw gay men wearing high-heels and Gaga dressed as nun eating crosses and on top of that she was looking like dead vampire/zombie in the video .... I remember tons and tons of videos ''a--lysing'' the video and calling her devil worshipper and satan freak and illuminatti puppet :smh:

maybe she could have escaped the blackash from the Alejandro era if she simple after that released Monster or DITD for times of VMAs etc. etc. but I guess she had her reasons to cut the era after Alejandro

Birthday Boy

Not really I'm in the real world neighbourhood.

I'm not even a Perry fan - I just think it's ironic when people on this forum are complaining that Birthday won't reach number 1 when Gaga is struggling to get even top 10 let alone top 40 with her latest track.

You can't have it both ways!

rih-ported! I shall not tolerate negativity!

I guess why not. Diamonds was a hit, a huge hit actually. There seems to be a market for it. :dies:

all the things that could have happened  I swear if Capitol was Gaga's label they would have throwed **** lot of money to push not only Alejandro but also BR to #1, telephone to #1 and TEOG to #1 :deadbanana:

(on the HOT 100)
