Electric Hummingbird (Lady Gaga and Katy Perry Mashup)

This is my first mashup kind of thing that I have ever done. For some reason I heard this instrumental and thought of Electric Chapel. Sorry if it's awful, or it doesn't go together, but I tried. And I like it. :rockstar:

It uses Electric Chapel vocals and Hummingbird Heartbeat instrumental by the way.

Tell me what you think!

its not bad at all. it all lines up nicely, actually!

its just out of key...it seems that electric chapel was written in a minor key and hummingbird heartbeat is in a major key

See, I have no idea that even means :fail: Haha, oh well. I'll leave the music mixing to the skilled and talented. :lmao:

How many times does it have to be repeated that before making a mash-up one must make sure that both the instrumental and the acapella are in the same key (if they are not, find out the difference and raise or lower the pitch), so the mash-up doesn't sound horribly off-key to the people who are not tone-deaf?

Dissonant.. very dissonant.

P.S. That might sound VERY b---hy, but seriously, these are the very basics of making mash-ups.

Not sure if you read or not, but I have never made a mashup before and have no experience. I didn't claim it would sound good. I just did this for fun, so sorry my "tone-deafness" ruined it for you.

Sorry, I just wish I could understand how tone-deaf people hear music because it's a big mystery to me. I think it's pretty obvious when something sounds off-key. If people without musical hearing could at least try to do some basic research (google), find out what keys the songs are in, and do the math, then we'd have more good mash-ups.

Okay, but regardless of the way of putting it, it's still a true statement - not an opinion.
