Only 9.25M left to hit diamond. :applause:

The only opportunity to achieve that is release Jewels N' Drugs as a single :applause:

I don't think that CTC will hit #1 with the pre order. A jazz album... it's physical copies not digitals... ^^

I want to rant about something related to Gaga on the charts and figured this would be the best place to do it.

My local radio station has been paying her dust and seemingly favoring other artists. The woman who is apparently in charge of what gets played is also a host on the morning show, and whenever Gaga comes up she's negative about her and they give her pretty much no promo, other than giving out tickets to her show which they HAVE to do.

So let's look at two of Gaga's songs from ARTPOP that they didn't play:

Applause: Sold 2.6 million, peaked at #4 in Billboard's Mainstream Top 40, #4 in the Hot 100. Year-end charts have it sitting at #37 in the Top 40, #37 in the Hot 100.

Do What U Want: Sold over 1 million copies, peaked #7 on Top 40, #13 on the Hot 100.

Followed by a song they HAVE been playing:

This is How We Do: (not as fair to compare amount sold, since it was released as a single long after Applause and DWUW) But as for chart positions: #37 on Billboard's Mainstream Top 40, #66 on the Hot 100.

I'm not shading Katy at all- I'm one of those people who thinks that even if you're #40 in the Top 40 and #100 in the Top 100 that you're a big success because your song is one of the TOP 40/100 out of EVERY song in the world- that's an amazing feat.

But when the station claims they play Top 40 and the Pop Hits, but then bashes Gaga on their morning show, gives her little to no promo, and doesn't play her music- yet plays the LESS successful music of her contemporaries (especially when the woman choosing the music they play is a big fan of said contemporaries....), it does come off as really shady and frankly seems quite intentional.

Is there any indication of why she feels that way?

BTW, have you said anything to the station? Personally, it really rubs me the wrong way to hear DJs talking trash about any artist on air.

Dangerous Man

Maybe Gaga offended some of them? Or maybe they envy her? Who knows.
