Mills 446 Posted June 22, 2014 Share Posted June 22, 2014 Jazz records don't sell as much as the albums of the other genres, so even if it sells a third of ARTPOP's US numbers in its first week or in its entire run, it would hardly be considered as a "flop", technically-speaking. Hitting 500k for a jazz album in its entire run is already considered a smash. And it'll be one hell of a luck to even sell a million. Duets II hit that status because it's a star-studded collaboration, even aided by the clamour for Amy Winehouse at that time. Anyway, I'm rooting for 80k-150k in its first week in the US, and 200k-250k worldwide, considering Gaga still has a strong drawing power worldwide. I'm not crazy about the ideo of an ACT II. I think she should end her tour then move on from from messy ARTPOP era and build something stronger for her next album.
