DWUWPerez 98
G.U.Y. is a great song.. you guys.. like did you start tracking songs yesteryda? Because just because you release a single, doesn't mean your song is going straight top 20 or top 10 in a week or two..... it takes a while That's very true, Gaga doesn't just get Top 10s by her name any more. Especially not post-album singles. I'm actually shocked that senior members have started giving up on it. How can you call a song a flop when no one's heard it? Whispering 18,865
G.U.Y. is a great song.. you guys.. like did you start tracking songs yesteryda? Because just because you release a single, doesn't mean your song is going straight top 20 or top 10 in a week or two..... it takes a while Gaga fans have been lucky. Most have never tracked singles that take a while to move up the charts. And by a while, I mean MUCH longer than DWUW!
leoj 2
not even that.. none of her singles besides her first.. (except judas) usually blast up the top 10 post album release Gaga fans have been lucky. Most have never tracked singles that take a while to move up the charts. And by a while, I mean MUCH longer than DWUW! just dance was a flop in the U.S when it came out.. it took A WHILE for it to climb.. does that mean the song sucked because it couldn't climb a chart month 1? whiteboi1327 84
True I remember I thought Alejandro wasn't gonna make it to the top 10 for a second then bam American idol performance shoves it to the top 10. It takes time

Yeah, but how many fans were following Just Dance everyday on the charts and worrying about it like their life depended on it? They are spoiled now. Mills 446
This thread has been closed twice already in less than 2 weeks for the same thing - getting too much off-topic discussions when there's already a Random Convo in place entirely made just to prevent this thread from being flooded with off-topic posts for the nth time. And yet, we've members who cannot help themselves but introduce off-topic remarks while some of those were even flamebait in nature. Don't force us to consider bans, especially to the frequent offenders. Enough is enough. And just a reminder to everyone, if you find any member to be a troll, just hit the report button. No need to call out someone publicly. They only contribute to the off-topic discussions.
APPLAUSE4YOU 411
Just wanted to point out that Sia's Chandelier is getting spinned a great deal by Z100 and is currently sitting at #412 on iTunes Overall. No need to panic guys, let's be a bit more patient.
Mills 446
474. G.U.Y. on iTunes It just couldn't stabilize within the mid-top 400. Lowering my predictions for a HOT 100 peak now. Top 30 seems implausible at this point, regardless of how long the climb will be. Top 50 at best doesn't even seem guaranteed. Oh well.

NathanC 938
I hope the buzz around her tour will help sales... This iTunes drop is rather discouraging... I hope radio gets above 100 mill... I don't care if she pulls a Rihanna...
Mills 446
No one should expect a single playing around 350-280 for the past few days to suddenly shoot up to the top 200, let alone the top 100. It won't. A major promo spot on TV needs to be done for G.U.Y. to get a better peak than its debut. Radio rarely pushes a song which couldn't even crack the top 200 on its own. Phlop 4,773
Venus, Sexxx Dreams and Gypsy the only true smashes on the album tbqmfh. (Along with Applause and DWUW). GUY is just too "out there", no catchy chorus, hard to dance to, no hetero friendly. I've played it for people and they think she wants to be a man. In terms of feminism songs, Scheisse is muuuch stronger and conveys it's message clearer. Don't even discredit Venus and say it's one of the first songs on the album and it was a promo single. Dope got 10x more it's promo, was on YouTube awards, and a promo single and has sold less. Even ARTPOP, the title track, more promo, and the first song in the video wasn't as popular as Venus.
