I requested it on a location station texting and they texted me back saying they will play that song, and asked for my name/city I lived in/where i was listening. Never had a personal dj message before lol. If it works then that's San Francisco/ San Jose/Bay Area, ca!

I was totally confident that G.U.Y was aiming for full control of all charts, I mean, it has the best video ever and is the best song on the album. Why is the GP doing this to her? why??

This song still can´t flop. Let´s just wait for better updates from now

GP barely knows the song tho, radio is now problem IMO

Daft Punk (1), Kesha (1), Timberlake (2), Miley (2), Rihanna (2) - lot of hyped artists haven 't has success beyond the 2nd single, or even the first one. Hard to think of anyone since Jan 2013 with 3 really successful singles, except Mackelmore

Ah! Amidst all the mess...some logic! :applause:

You are correct! Most artists get a couple of hits and if they get more than that one era, they might not the next and vice versa. The biggest problem is monsters are SPOILED!

Not me thinking it actually moved up to 100s when I wasn't able to see it at first on Kworb :deadbanana:

If you're waiting a couple of months and g.u.y. Is still flopping I doubt there will be a next single from this album

How do we know that's what the radio deciding what the public wants vs. what the public actually wants?

Well this new disco trend is a good example, that started last year. Blurred Lines was a smash followed by Get Lucky and that send us into a spiral off urbanish/disco sounds (do I need to mention Happy?) that even Katy came out with Birthday to profit from that "new sound" people seem to be liking all of the sudden cause it's just the latest flavour of the month.

Like with fashion, every hype comes in big waves and then goes again and Gaga is just not related to that sound at all.

Why does everyone suddenly think radio is going to play it? you're only setting yourselves up.

I've been reading through these posts and that's really the thing that crossed my mind. It's like people were expecting it suddenly to played every hour on the hour and with a magic wand it would instantly shoot up itunes. It was added today. It wasn't added two weeks ago, when the video was released and it dropped to #400. I just think it's too early to declare G.U.Y. a flop. Maybe, if the radio isn't showing any approvement within the next week or two and the airplay isn't doing well, but to just declare it dead on it's ADD DATE. JUST WOW!

Btw, to all Gypsy fans, it probably isn't going to happen. I'll be pissed, but I'm here to support G.U.Y. now, not give up all hope on it because it isn't doing so well .

I mean seriously people have already dug a grave for this song.

The deeper long-term worry is that radio will decide that John  Legend and Aloe Blacc music is what their public wants, and not so much dance pop. They supported Zedd and Ellie Goulding`s Burn more than they sold on itunes, but how long will it continue if non-pop artists are selling better

Yep, this is where music is heading. Sad...but true! The Retro Urban sound, Folk sound, Alternative Rock and ballads are dominating Pop music.

This. It seems that Gypsy will be sacrificed.

I hope 99.7 now isn't lying then. If you look at the audience on top 40 radio vs itunes position, GUY has the worst.

Another reason to cry over DWUW's downfall. The only song from ARTPOP that sounded fresh on radio.
