It would be helpful if everyone tries to move on and not mention the mess that was last pages, also stop being rude with other members

306. Lady Gaga - G.U.Y.

it has stop to going up, I really hope radio plays it more after the 8th

Cleaning up the thread now. This is ridiculous, you guys. How many times is this thread going to get so messy?

The problem is that talking about Katy's singles and their success IS related to the charts, but I think you all know that it crossed the line.

We have a Charts Random Convo AND a Katy Perry thread. Why is it so hard to keep this thread on topic? We literally just made a new thread for stuff like this that came up, and instead of clicking the link to go there everyone decided to go off topic in THIS thread, leaving a huge mess to clean up of borderline-on-topic posts and what seems to be subtle flamebait.

And how many times are we going to have these issues?

Opinions are opinions. People should do a little more work learning how to respect them around here, but if that's too difficult then can we at least have these petty arguments and stan wars in the right thread? If you put it in the Charts Random Convo, it will still be unnecessary but at least it won't be off topic too.

Alright. A lot of warnings have been given out, and my hope is that we won't have to revisit this problem again. There are things in place to help prevent this from happening, but it's the Chart Thread posters that will determine the success of this thread. Derailing the thread and turning it into some kind of Stan War or thread about other artists just ruins the experience for the people posting in this thread and makes a mess for the moderators to clean up.

(Honestly, clicking through six pages of a thread where 80% of the posts need to be hidden is NOT my ideal Sunday night, and it's a shame that we're having to deal with this kind of problem AGAIN. So instead of having to do all that, let's just move on and understand that anyone continuing this junk after the thread is reopened will be given some hefty warning points, and perhaps a 24 hour ban to cool it if that doesn't stop them.)

Guys let's please avoid another mess like tonight and just CALMLY discuss the charts without meltdowns and over-dramaticism and chit chat about other artists.

What happened to this thread :toofloppy:

I know G.U.Y.'s chart position is disconcerting to say the least, however I think it's unfair and a bit brash to say it's a "flop" or she should just end ARTPOP already. I don't believe she's been able to actually execute a solid, polished campaign for any single (sans Applause?) because of the internal turmoil going on in her inner circles.

Let the radio add date come and we'll see what happens. If it isn't successful, it isn't successful. She will move on, and so will we.

I recently compared the sales of Gaga's singles from August 2013 and March. Poker Face sold 100,000 copies in that time period, and Bad Romance and Just Dance have sold over 80,000. At the rate things are going, BTW can hit 4 million sales this year and JD can hit 7 million late this year/early next year. Just thought I'd bring a bit of positive info in here.  :)

I kinda like the sudden calm in this thread. No more stupid meltdowns or sterile negativity. Now just let G.U.Y. go its own way through the charts, it may take 2 weeks, one month or more to become a hit (or not) but we can still enjoy one the best artist of our time.

GUY might not rise anymore unless it gets a radio deal.

Act II is not a good idea imo. Imagine if it debut less than 100k.

Gaga should just keep releasing singles like Rihanna. Gypsy is a must.
