Luc 4,775
Btw.. Not to talk about Katy too much, but for those thinking Birthday won't be another #1 for Katy. Billboard has been predicting it to be a massive hit ever since they first heard the album. Quebec has it's own Voice?! I had no idea.. Just like Unconditionally? a sure #1? Gaga should perform G.U.Y. on april 13th on The Voice Québec finale tbh this province of Canada has 8 million people, and 2,5 million are watching the show live if we put that with the US population, it would represent 55 million spectators (read this in an article) gaga i hope you're lurking Great ratings, she should definitly do it. Great promo, great amount of viewers, would cause TONS of hype there.

Jonathanholland 5,254
What pop girl is slaying by being safe right now. Beyonce album release strategy wasn't safe, her singles don't pander to trends. Uncle was supposed to be safe, but Dark Horse was a surprise hit for Katy and co. Relatable doesn't mean safe you know, The Fame Monster wasn't safe but it was relatable Before there was love, there was silence
Luc 4,775
Relatable doesn't mean safe you know, The Fame Monster wasn't safe but it was relatable Wasn't it the opposite? Not relatable yet safe? And BTW was relatable (the album as a whole) while the music wasn't that safe. And ARTPOP is neither I've been watching Letterman since I was 16 (but I don't watch Ellen nor GTST) Neither do I I don't really watch a lot of TV apart from a few shows

And ARTPOP is neither Well Born This Way had some relatable songs like Hair, TEOG, BTW but GH, HU(RTL) and EC were far from relatable. ARTPOP the album isn't even that risky but the theme surrounding it is. The Fame Monster is a combination of both imo. craig 680
Relatable doesn't mean safe you know, The Fame Monster wasn't safe but it was relatable Problem is, that more lyricsthemes try to be relatable to everyone, the more generic and trite and done before they become. Anything interesting will be relatable to some but not others.

izlazaz 0
Um, Letterman is for the olds isn't he? I don't know anyone who watches the Late Show other than diehard oldies who enjoy his snark. But lots of celebs have sat on his couch, so I guess being on his show is better than nothing. I hope Gaga does something utterly outrageous, something the show producers have no idea is gonna happen. I hope she comes out wearing 100s of layers of costumes and wigs and gripping hundreds of handbags and that she strips them off and dumps them one by one, until she is just herself (the self who posts selfies on LM), plain, unadorned, and STRONG! And then she sings up a storm, standing amidst dancers who are wearing massive headresses and blinged thongs, while she stands in their midst like a plucked chicken, sangin her beautiful face off!
