If these don't happened then the song will flop, simple as that. You refer to radio, like it is one BIG station that makes ONE overall decision. :) There are 176 stations, in Pop radio alone, that will consider whether to spin or add the new song over a period of weeks, if not months. Three of the 176 stations have already added and I expect there will be several auto adds today. Next week, the remaining 160 to 170 stations will not magically add or start to spin guy. One of the best things that can happen, is if it gets adds from KIIS or Z100. Either one of those big adds, will send a strong signal to all the other stations that the label is behind this song. By this time, you should know that Pop/HAC U.S, stations are immediately going to jump onto ANY Katy Perry Slayfest released by KP and drive it straight to the top, or die trying! :eek: That pattern has been established since the beginning of the TD era. Whispering 18,865 Posted April 1, 2014 Share Posted April 1, 2014 It was on Top 40 the adds, not HAC. Yesterday was not the official add day for Top 40. HAC is on Monday and CHR is on Tuesday.
