Why does everybody hate Bad Kids?

Back in 2011 when I was anti Gaga, HML and Bad Kids were the only two songs I liked from BTW. After spending time on here I've noticed most people don't like it, why?

Because they're good kids. They haven't joined the dark side.

Diamond Heart

We dont hate it, its just one of the more underwhelming tracks of BTW.

Like the intro is f*cking awesome and the chorus seems a bit too light and fluffy.

I still love it though.

I don't hate it. I still think that "my parents tried, until they got divorced coz I ruined their lives." is one of the best lyrics Gaga has ever written.

I like the song. I think for some people it sounds too 80's and cheesy to be taken seriously.

I remember the very first time I heard it. My brain was screaming "MADONNA/80s". More than it ever has when listening to Gaga.

I don't hate it; I like it, but she's written better.

I still do not like that song, though I appreciate the sentiment behind it. It starts off beautifully with those electric guitar riffs and Gaga shouting, and then it just goes downhill from there. The verses are lackluster, and the chorus doesn't take off like it should.

I actually like most of bad kids, but the 2nd part of the chorus (don't be insecure if your heart is pure...) just makes me want to barf.  I hate the melody she uses there, the production is so sickly sweet it's disgusting, and the lyrics cross the line from cheesy to "this is just dumb".

Unfortunately, I hate that part so much that it honestly kills the entire rest of the song for me.

This is how I feel.  I definitely don't hate the song but compared to the intro and even the verses, the chorus definitely feels softer when I wish the entire song was a little harder.  It has some great lyrics though.  It just feels like two different songs are happening, like you have the punks kicking and screaming in the verses and then the fairy godmother singing sweetly in the choruses.  It's not necessarily bad, I do like it and the sentiment behind it, but every time I listen to it I feel like something's missing.  I wish she had played around with it a bit for live performances to give it that extra punch.

But tbh some of the complaints about this song from fans amuses me because based off the reactions to MANiCURE, this fanbase (generally speaking) still wouldn't like it if she had gone all the way with the rock influence.  (I love MANiCURE :flutter: )

Seeka

It is filler and kind of underwhelming compared to the rest of Born This Way.

Though I prefer it over Fashion of His Overration.
