Luc 4,775
So funny how these were "sold out". I just don't understand that. Sold out of what? The tickets they chose to release in November? What if only 5 tickets were released in November and all sold? Does that constitute a sell out show? I can understand it being a sell out if all tickets have been purchased from the ticket procurement source, i.e. Ticketmaster, but if TM releases more, how was it a sell out? Maybe this was why they held all the purchased tickets until this week to ship out. Personally, that was pretty ridiculous and not necessary. You buy them, they should ship them right away. They do it all the time. They replace some VIP seats to make more room for standing/sitting places, or they add additional sections with bad views on sales. A show is sold out when all tickets on sale are sold out. I mean, the tickets behind the stage aren't ever on sale for end-stage shows, but does that mean the show isn't fully sold out? No, it does not. Arizonadream777 184
Not for fans. Almost every venue holds some tickets to sell at a later time. I sort of like the surprise factor. Plus, we know that the tickets they are releasing now will sell out too. I see but I can see the haters making an issue about this. Hope I'm wrong. wahljennifer322 30
I'm not a hater at all. I know a sell out means if whatever tickets are out for sale at a given time are all purchased, it is considered a sell out. And, I'm not even upset that more tickets are released. I'm glad that fans who felt shut out have the opportunity to try and go now. I just think it is funny. I've been in marketing for many years (I'm not a young monster). It is more of a comment about the ticket companies as a business. All marketing - "sell out show" drives up demand, hypes it up then generates the desire for when other tickets are released that they are grabbed up quickly. It's good business for artists to be able to go out on press junkets and talk about their sell out tours and shows. In the end, all I care about is that I'm going and can't wait for this show! Peace & Love, no hate.
