LadyCaligula 0
You see, you are still acting as though there is something for someone to be blamed for. You didn't like the show, we get it but why do you feel like you need to bring everyone else down? That is all you are doing and then you complain when you get similar treatment from other users. You are entitled to your opinion, I am entitled to point out how rude and childish you sound and some other idiot is entitled to say you should go stan for Katy! Remember 'Its not a persona' 'this is who i ****ing am' I kinda call BS on that now...where is the line of persona drawn...how do we know what was a persona in the past now...you know, it murks it up some. Sister 9,907
Point is...that person on stage at SXSW was nnot the person many many people fell in love with and thats just it... The future's uncertain and the end is always near.
LadyCaligula 0
Im not the art police but going to a festival and pretending to be a rockstar to fit in...is not art. Its called being a poser.
Wild 1,296
Everything before this performance seems so fake now... Like she wasn't honest about she wanted to do before, and her music is not what she wants.... I love Gaga, and this performance was actually good in some ways. Just some things she said really hit me hard last night. You can be pop without being generic. And you can be artistic without looking like a try hard, and literally screeching your way through your songs.
MikeyMoonShine 0
http://lmgtfy.com/?q=art+definition The question was rhetorical but well done for making yourself look foolish. MikeyMoonShine 0
My pleasure Seriously though if you didn't like it then you didn't like it and that's kwl. There is no need to make yourself look foolish by saying something isn't art when it obviously is.
LadyCaligula 0
Is there nothing artful about being a "poser" though? Not sure, generally its not looked upon with admiration...lets see...imagine if Curt Cobain were alive and became spokesperson or pepsi and a bunch of other commercial ****...and then acted all badass...doesnt work. shes commercial and she needs to realize that, its not a bad thing, you can be commercial and be an artist...otherwise she's ****ed bc she has to be commercial to make monety hunty. The thing I dont get is if she is so against being commercial why the **** did she almost kill herself oer being dropped from a commercial label and all the Marry the Night drama... she could be playing in ****ty clubs still if she wanted and who knows, she might have made it to SXSW by now... I just cannot grasp it. You can be an artist an be commerical but dont **** on the hand taht feeds you
MikeyMoonShine 0
Can you read? I said I dont see it as art. Many others do. I was expressing how I saw it. I do get the message she was trying to convey with the performance. But you gave me a definition of art and her performance fits that definition (because it is art). Words mean what they mean and not what you want them to mean personally. If we could all just decide what a word means then language would not work. Her performance was art and how you feel about it is irrelevant to that fact. If you don't like a piece of art or you think that it's bad (and you have a good argument for that) then call it bad art but it is still art. Well I wouldn't call her a poser but my point was it would still be art.
