Donatello 129 Posted March 15, 2014 Author Share Posted March 15, 2014 Pre-BTWB there was an interview of Troy talking about fanbases as 'markets', and he wanted to start the BTWB is Asia to penetrate 'new markets' and develop new asian relationships with Gaga (because she had USA/Europe). I think some TF era interviews also spoke of 'markets' but online ones. Yesterday's SXSW keynote was very revealing as Gaga exposed Troy's next 'market' as the non-freaks, he wanted Gaga to look beautiful and to develop relationships with that kind of class, because 'she already had' the freaks. Gaga was obviously repulsed by this and she actually said this is why she dresses 'ugly' nowadays (and presumably many other things). I think Troy was the trigger for her identity crisis tbh.
