Arturo 40,746
Do you think it's a case of of "eww, Gaga trying to be s-xy" or just an aversion to s-xual songs in general? The aversion to blatantly s-xual female pop songs. When was the last time a blatantly s-xual pop song from a pop star did well? I honestly can't recall. Some may call Dark Horse s-xual in some aspects, yet it's very careful in its word choice.
Ascetic 0
I think she has some of that fratboy money lol after the VMAs with her "golden yams" xD Exactly, so display them while you can and get that cash tbh

Well people were talking about Partition going top 10 or something and doing well right? It's pretty blatant.

Computer 10,973
I wonder. To me it's one of the best, most instantly classic songs on the album and "should be a single." But how does it get there. Would radio ever play it? I don't even know. 💚💛💕❣⭕💢💢 | ⓜⓔⓡⓡⓨ ©ⓗⓡⓘⓢⓣⓜⓐⓢ
Harry 26,836
Though they were inuendos that were "somewhat" covered up lyrically. Sexxx Dreams is literally screaming "I touch myself" and "SEXXX" and other things lol So I mean I could see it as a single if it was edited or such, but again thats just my opinion :3 "Give it to me baby like boom boom boom" "I like the way you touch me there, I like the way you pull my hair" "Can you get it up ... is you big enough" "Sex in the air, I don't care, I love the smell of it" "Chains and whips excite me" "You turn me on ... give it to me strong" I don't see how that's any worse than "when I lay in bed I touch myself and think of you" and using the word "s-x". -------- Also, a band called Divinyls had a hit in 1990 called 'I Touch Myself' and it was a top 5 hit in the US. "When I think about you I touch myself" Almost 25 years on, I think society is even more open and tolerant of s-xuality than it was then. So I don't see how the touch myself line in Sexxx Dreams would be an issue. As for people saying the word 's-x' would need to be censored ... Come on now. Really? It isn't a cuss word. Sexyback by Justin Timberlake Sex on Fire by Kings of Leon Sex Bomb by Tom Jones Sexual Healing by Marvin Gaye Sexy MF by Prince Birthday Sex by Jeremih Sexy Love by Neyo Are you still going to try and tell me radio has an issue with the word s-x? Are we five years old? I also question why people think GP and media would be fine with Gaga, Rihanna, Miley, Beyonce and whoever else flaunting their bodies in the way they do... but not saying 's-x'. ??? Now, whether you think people would like a side to Gaga this s-xual or not is a different matter. But censorship would likely not be an issue and I'm getting bored of reading that it wouldn't do well because radio would refuse those lyrics. lavenderblondee 3,695
I was 1000% sure the itunes version would slay the radio when I first heard it. I assumed it'd be second single worthy. Studio version is a bit different and I'm not a fan of it, but still feel like it'd be popular. I still to date think it's one of the best Gaga songs. TimisaMonster 31,073
idk...songs that have the word s-x is completely different from a song with s-x in the title and saying it every 3 words Plus, the radio edit would be so bad like the clean version. Every word is blanked out...it would be more annoying than anything, but the groove of the song would hopefully be more powerful than the weird edit to make it a hit Stream my new single, 💜"Heartbeat"💜, on Spotify!
