"In related news, Universal Music had a rough year last year, and Gaga is a big part of the reason why. The New York Post reports that the label conglomerate’s fourth-quarter earnings were down 9.3%. Much of the blame goes to the hugely expensive rollout and disappointing sales of ARTPOP, the generally unimpressive album that Gaga released during the period. A few more albums like that, and Gaga really will be small-time enough to play the Doritos stage safely."

I don't appreciate that.

It's ridiculous to blame this downslide on ONE album when album sales in general have been going steadily down for years (with 2013 at a record low). ARTPOP did moderately well, and without a huge BTW-style campaign, and all with a singer who has a history of self funding her own projects with the occasional help from sponsors. And I'm pretty sure ARTPOP did not make that sort of impact on a company as huge as UMG. The stupidity and lack of receipts all in the name of trying to throw some cheap shade... that blogger reeks of someone who has been spending too much time on ATRL and The Examiner. :coffee:

Of course it's ridiculous to blame anything on Gaga on a Gaga fansite. I mean.. Hello?

I really think it's weird I am yhe only one who sees hints of her performing at an other location

If Doritos can find a venue still and is willing to move I don't see why it wouldn't happen. JT performed here for SXSW last year. The Doritos stage is huge in a parking lot downtown so she would completely shut down the city if she performed outside in the middle of the city like that. Hopefully Doritos can pull it together because I'm going to have a badge this year!

YAAAAAAS!

''Lady Gaga and her "little

monsters" will have to party

somewhere else after the city

determined that the venue could

not sustain Gaga's level of talent

and the crowds that she might

draw.'' :queenga:
