Do you wish Gaga was as theatrical as she used to be?

hmmm ill give you paparazzi, thats sort of when it really started for me, and maybe the fame ball, but im speaking more in a general consensus, the work that the public will most know by her, isnt theatrical at first. the actual work she put out like songs, videos, televised performances, those where all probably the least theatrical during the fame.

True, it didn't seem quite as significant (not sure if that's the word I'm looking for but oh well) as it became later on, especially in the way it was all presented to the public. I just thought it deserved a little credit ;)

This! I feel the same whenever she's in London, like she's more at ease or comfortable there or something I dunno but I get a very happy and open vibe from her whenever she's there at least.

I think she admitted in an interview that she does feel more at ease to do that type of stuff when she's in London. Like she can be completely free.

I wish she incorporated more technology in her performances like she did back in the day.

Disco stick.

Video Glasses.

Screens.

Etc.

Ipod dress?

Wow some thought ARTPOP was un-theatrical lol hello Joanne.

This.

The more I look back to ARTPOP the more I love it. I never disliked it but now I just look back it as such a highlight and with so many epic memories.

It's the fact Joanne doesn't have many of those moments (the music isn't the problem, the music is great)

Even now I can't think of a stand out moment when the era started. I'm not saying this type of music or style is bad or that Gaga can't do certain things because she can, and will do anything she wants to, but theres little buzz/excitement around each performance and event

I'm still wondering if that's the the whole plan tbh :cryga:

What kind of necro-revival thread bump.

That said, in retrospect, I don't think I ever even considered how theatrical Cheek to Cheek was, wow.

3 points in and ready for more

Wow some of the answers are exactly like what we usually see in threads like these! Almost fooled me, only checked the date when people started to talk about VMA's :poot:

i took the ARTPOP era for granted

See I'm happy I lived through the ARTPOP era in full awareness and appreciation of every moment that went on during it. I loved the album and era. It was super personal to me and it was just what I needed at the time. It's a very nostalgic time, and I really miss it. Simple pop music with some crazy moments. I feel Joanne aged Gaga.
