I don't get the Egyptian theme, I was expecting like witches or something more suited to the song. But I'm looking forward to watching it. However, Katy hasn't ever tried to be overly creative or avant garde. Gaga and Perry are totally different artists in that regard, and if you try to hold Katy to Gaga's artistic standards, you'll never get to enjoy Katy's style.
