somechick 1
Yay! Happy you're coming to the Perth show! haha yeah, hotels here are pretty expensive. You should have a look at the 4 points sheraton hotel, its literally across the street from the arena - so that will work out well if you wanted to queue for GA. I got a room there for the night of the concert, it was pretty cheap by perth standards haha. Seat wise, the arena's interior is pretty nice and well thought out so you should actually get a really good view from 215 :) It was the only show in Aus I wasn't going to and I'd like to look around Perth cbd a bit actually. I've been once before but for the tennis when it was at Burswood Dome and I stayed with someone in the burbs then so I really didn't see much of the city - we did Kings Park for New Years and I froze my ass off (WTF was the Perth?) but other than that really wasn't in the city. I noticed Four Points was right opposite, but I think it was close to $300 when I looked yesterday. I mean I knew Perth was expensive coz there aren't *that* many hotels, but i guess I'm used to seeing the rate all my corporate clients get and I was thinking I could maybe get something decent for like $200ish....even the holiday Inn was over $250 ffs! lol I don't think I wanna queue for this show though. I mean if I got GA I'd probably just turn up at 7:30pm. lol i'll have already done GA in MSG, and LA by then, plus I'm gonna be queueing with a friend for the first Sydney show for GA and I got LMZ for the second Sydney show so....meh if I'm up the back in Perth it'd be OK I guess. I'm trying to decide if I really wanna stand though....I mean for the opening acts and the whole show it's alot. But then I guess I could just go to next to the FOH area and sit down if I wanted coz no one stands back there. ;) I wonder how full GA is at the moment...I mean it's obviously not sold out or anything so maybe even if I turned up late I'd get a decent spot. haha 215's on the opposite side of the stage than I wanna be on though - she's hardly over that side at all....I'd much rather be on the other side. ;) Edited June 5, 2014 by somechick

Yeah tbh i don't think you'll find much cheaper than 250 just because the lack of hotels here haha. If you want seats on the other side I've been looking at seating tickets the past few weeks and they constantly change between which side they're selling (they usually stay on the same side for a few days before switching back, so maybe if you just wait a few more days before you buy them?) although if i remember correctly most of the seats they were selling on the right side were getting to row N which is pretty close the the back of the block as they only go up to R in the a-reserve section. Are you just getting the one ticket? because I was looking for 2 so you might be able to get closer! Either way it should be a good show being the opener for the aus leg! hopefully it sells out or gets close by the time its here haha Edited June 5, 2014 by AshlieghTaylor
Daniroc 0
I was looking at accommodation at 4 Points and they put the prices up an extra $120 on the night of the concert, and it's mid-week! Asshats! I live in Maylands, but I'm getting hair/makeup/nails done in the city and wanted to get slightly tipsy during/after. Looks like hubby will need to collect this hot mess from the curb

Either way it should be a good show being the opener for the aus leg! hopefully it sells out or gets close by the time its here haha Well I'll arrive 11:30am on the day of the show, and my flight out is 2pm the day after, but I figured i could look around the first afternoon and some of the next morning. I have to work on the Friday, so it's just a quick trip. I live in Melbourne - in the cbd - so at least I don't have to worry about accom there. So I booked the 4 Points but it's a flexi rate so if I find something cheaper (yeah right) then I can cancel, but I guess it's just more convenient being right across from the venue. I mean if I stayed somewhere else I'd probably pay for a taxi to get back to the hotel after the show so it'd end up costing about the same anyway. Although the best room available was a 2 x double bed room - too bad i'm not going with anyone. lol I checked at work yesterday and it gave me 202 row A seat 1 under A reserve - which I thought was weird coz you'd think that's be the VIP or Hotseat package. I would have booked it then but my leave wasn't approved until this morning. Since then it's been giving me the other side, so yeah I'll wait a couple of days and see what pops up. I'm not in a hurry to book I mean the show's been on sale for 4 months and row G is still available so.... Sales must not be very good tbh. haha I'd be Ok with GA not selling out if I had a GA ticket - bit more room to move then hopefully. GA at MSG was nuts. I was right on the railing in front of the APZ/piano right next to the long runway that leads to the piano. It was exactly where I wanted to be but I had no room at all. Couldn't move, let alone dance and had people jumping on my feet through the night. lol Would have been nice to have a little more room. ;) I was looking at accommodation at 4 Points and they put the prices up an extra $120 on the night of the concert, and it's mid-week! Looks like hubby will need to collect this hot mess from the curb lmao of course they did. ;) The hotels at Olympic Park in Sydney did the same for the first show....Friday and Sunday nights I got Ibis for $209 and for the Saturday it was $269. lol They know how to make money - capitalism at work. That will actually be plenty of time to see the cbd hahah :P Wow thats crazy about the GA at MSG! Did you have a good time though? And your right, you don't have to be in a hurry to book sadly. Its weird though because I know so many people who went last time, we even had two shows last time, and they said they loved it and would go again, but by the looks of it people actually don't even really know that she's coming back. Hopefully there will be some promo, or more of it, so it sells pretty good by the time it gets here :)
thatfoxyfeeling 13,017
So I decided to go to the Perth show since it was the only Aus one I wasn't going to I thought fu*k it. Just bought my plane tix (only cost $200 - thanks to Velocity points haha) but WTF is with hotels in Perth? Expensive. Also tryin to decide what sort of tix I want...yesterday I checked at work and I could buy 202 row A seat 1 for the A reserve price so like $172 or whatever but I hadn;t had my leave arppoved (finally was this morning) and now it's giving me 215 row G seat 8 and it's been that same seat all day when I've checked. lol I don;t wanna be on that side of the arena though.... maybe I should just get GA but I'm not gonna be queueing all day so...meh I'm jel you're going to so many shows! You must spend a fortune on tix and accommodation.

I would say do some shopping but the amount of money I have spent this year I can't really afford to do much shopping. haha Oh f*ck yes. Gaga @ MSG was awesome! We were so close to her so often (went with a friend from LA who i'm going GA at the first LA show with too). It was actually my first real GA experiences since I was like 15 and went to Bon Jovi at Melbourne Olympic Park - but we were right up the back coz it was a school day. lol I tend to get claustrophobic in big crowds so it was interesting to see how I'd handle it, but I was having such a good time that it didn't bother me so much (except for furing BTW coz I was kinda getting squished against the barrier). lol I really do not understand the lack of sales at any of the Aussie shows. I mean I know the album didn't sell that well here but there's been barely any promo for anything that I've seen. I mesn there was some radio hype when Applause came out, but after that not so much - at least in Melbourne. Then again I don't listen to the radio often anymore since I walk to work and take my ipod. lol I'm jel you're going to so many shows! You must spend a fortune on tix and accommodation. This year, yes. But I'm always saving to travel because I love it anyway, so now i'm just combining it with something else i love. ;) Plus sometimes I travel with friends, so at least accom costs are halved. ;)

It looks like it was a really good show by the videos! Haha yeah the GA areas can get a bit overwhelming especially if you've been standing for a long time :)

A reserve seat has not changed in 2 days now, so i'm leaning towards just getting GA and not queueing. I know where i'll stand if it's too busy in my first pref and I'm going to so many shows anyway, it might be nice to just not worry about where I am standing for one show and just have fun. Ah that's true! And you'll still probably get a good view seeing how big the catwalks are. A lot of my family who have GA tickets are doing the same by getting there around 5/6 :)

Although I'd have to swing by earlier and find out where the hell the enterance is for GA since I've never been to the arena. haha Checked A res again now it's giving me 216 row G seat 7. lmao well it changed, but still on the wrong side. pfft. somechick 1
Yeah as soon as you get there you'll pretty much be able to tell where you need to go :) Oh that's good then. I'm still toying with the idea of getting a seat so then I can skip the warm up act/s. I'm sure I will have heard Starlight enough by then (well I'm assuming she will be one of (or maybe the only) the warm up acts). Perth would be my 6th show so I don't need to hear the same beat that she plays for an hour before each show again. haha I really don't know what to do. I think I'll wait till Friday when I get paid. lol
