Also, I think it's important to note that Gaga's co-directing, which she's pretty much done for all her videos. This is no different really :)

No, she's the only director for this music video just like in MTN.  The other two people: Nicole Ehrlich and Andrew Listermann, are film producers (also called filmmakers) which is a totally different job from a film director.  It's really easy to confuse the two.  Gaga has always co-directed her videos, but for MTN and apparently this music video she is the sole director.   :) So its a bit different; for me its different in a good way  i love seeing gags trying new things, and her true unfiltered vision.

This sounds incredible!! It sounds like she is really being allowed to bring her vision and concepts to fruition. Some of the props lead me to think this could be Venus. Roman art, seashell, flowers... I hope this video is as beautiful as I think it will be.

i know what GGD said, but you need to read between the lines. even when gaga has been credited as "director" she's always co-directed. and now that its confirmed others are working alongside her in directing, its even more obvious that she's co-directing.

I like seeing Gaga's vision, even if the final product is slightly less polished than a more experienced director. And as she gets more experience she'll get better at directing, as with anything.

It could be that Gaga reserved the right to use the Castle up through the October timeframe because they might be shooting these various projects throughout the year, or she just wanted to reserve the right to reuse it if she wants later.  That doesn't mean that this particular video will be taking to october to shoot.

I mean just sensible thinking here: if she's gonna move on with the era and get a 3rd single out, doing promo etc...it would not make any sense not release any MV till October 

 

If anything it's good planning ahead. Having a few projects done now,  she can focus on her promo and tour knowing she has it all ready and able to release it whenever she thinks fits best.
