James_ 1
I was there last night and was pretty happy. I also don't think we should repeat specifically what was said, but she spoke to us for a good 90 minutes. It might've even gotten closer to two hours. But she was very up front and candid. She talked about quite a few different topics, both heavy hitting and light hearted, but I do think it's rude if people are talking about what she said. There were times when the conversation devolved into gossip and you could tell she was getting visibly annoyed but certain people kept asking her. I think she answered truthfully, but like they told us before hand, that was as a conversation between fans and the artist so she was probably not wanting it to get out. I wish people would respect that aspect more and now I totally understand why people were getting annoyed at fans for leaking that video of her talking **** about Azealia Banks after the Oz performance. It just creates petty arguments between stanbases and I'm glad the group I walked out with brought it up as we left because a lot of us agreed it was not the best thing to do. But oh well. I loved when she played three songs from Cheek To Cheek. She sang directly to me and looked into my eyes during Bewitched, Bothered, and Bewildered which is something I'll never forget. You can tell she loves the music and that the album really helped her to develop as an artist. I really hope it does well and opens her up to new demographics. She played Firefly, Lush Life and BBB. She even told me how much she loved my shirt because it represented the four albums and the four eras before the photo. When we took our photo I put my arm around her but she pulled me closer so that was really nice, I think she liked me ^_^ I do agree the photos were rushed but that was after a two hour chat session (the lights were turned off on us, for christs sakes) and the staff can't stay there forever. It doesn't help that people were breaking the rules that they imposed (ie. don't ask her to sign anything else) and pissing security off, who more or less run the show as they have strict schedules to adhere to. Honestly the only true disappointment was that water cost $5. With such a high price, I would've thought drinks would've been included while on-stage since most people wouldn't drink that much anyway because they wouldn't want to meet Gaga in a drunken stupour. Even drinks post-rave were free. She was so cute when she was asking for the drinks. I just feel likes some of the fans there were a little bit too entitled and it felt like they were using her a bit. but generally speaking it was a really great group. I really loved the experience and I'm really glad I did it. In fact, I'd do it again. EDIT: Reading around Twitter and Facebook you would think half the people who were there weren't even listening to what she was saying, jesus christ. MANiCURE 60
James that's reassuring, thank you for sharing <3 It makes a lot of sense, and 2 hours in company sounds truly amazing when you put it like that. How special. I actually take some of my worries back and can only hope my M&Gs will be as good as that
James_ 1
James that's reassuring, thank you for sharing <3 It makes a lot of sense, and 2 hours in company sounds truly amazing when you put it like that. How special. I actually take some of my worries back and can only hope my M&Gs will be as good as that I was nervous as **** on the day so I am making an extra effort to console those people who are nervous about this kind of thing as well so that's why I'm going to the extra effort to post stuff around. I think first of all we were particularly lucky because Gaga had not performed for a while before she played our date so she was not only thirsty to perform (and put on a ****ing good show, I might add) but also was keen to talk to us. So that might be why our M&G was such a long session. They even turned the lights off at one point! Mine, in particular, was a truly special thing because of what she said about what I was wearing and her singing directly to me during BBB. That is truly something I'll never forget. Having spent that long with her it's obvious what she loves to talk about and what she hates to talk about and what she's tired of being asked about. I guarantee you somebody has mentioned Temple or Partynauseous to her when she asks what we want her to play when clearly she's interested in her upcoming Jazz album because it's so important to her on an artistic and personal level. So I was happy to hear what she wanted to tell us because it's her baby, and what she's proud of, y'know? She is sick of dwelling on all these past songs and being asked these stupid questions. I really hope everyone in Australia has the same experience I did. She was very astute and on time and it made the whole thing feel extra special. Especially considering she met Queen before she met us so she must've been very efficient that night. To do such an energetic show and then spend so much time with us after it was such a humbling experience. It really improved my opinion of her because it was a side I didn't get to see before. It was like conversing with a friend. I am so happy to answer any other questions. I get the feeling I might be older than other people here for some reason (24) so my responses might be a bit more boring but I'll try to be as factual as possible without an opinion clouding my judgment. Teal Ambition 47,805
Why? What's been said on Twitter and Facebook? This: Ok asked her about the app and she laughed and said well don't even ask about that in her sweet voice and giggled... That is all Lady Gaga also said that she knew with this album they were coming for her throat. She said they always come for the 3rd album When I asked gaga about her 'green hair and mechanical horses are a thing now' she said that when she saw the pic she thought it was her Its not the first time someone from APZ says Gaga seems a little annoyed when they ask her about gossip and stuff Having spent that long with her it's obvious what she loves to talk about and what she hates to talk about and what she's tired of being asked about. Some of this stuff is partially her fault though, I mean she asked us if we wanted Partynauseous and never released it without giving an explanation why she`s never released it yet. I agree, people shouldn't be asking the same questions all the time though too. But maybe if she gave us proper explanation to why things aren't happening people wouldn't be asking constantly, you know? ▌│█║▌║▌║ before I am Canadian, I am Chromatican ║▌║▌║█│▌
James_ 1
That's true and I totally realise that. But when Lady Gaga asks "So should we listen to some Jazz now" and people start screaming at her PARTYNAUSEOUS or TEMPLE then what the ****? She was clearly talking about Cheek To Cheek and people still asked. There is a time and a place. She was so visibly excited to let us hear some new music of her that shows off her talent and then people kill it by asking for songs from an album she's already released. I just think people should move on and let things run their course. It's not like she's sitting on PN and is like OH SOME RANDOM FAN ASKED ME BACKSTAGE AT PERTH WESTERN AUSTRALIA I WILL RELEASE IT TONIGHT. She might have a plan, she might not. Who knows / cares. I've enjoyed reading about your experience and it doesn't come across as boring at all. (I'm 26 by the way) and can't wait for my ARTPOP zone, I'm like a kid waiting for Christmas. I think I have come up with some interesting questions for mine that I think she will appreciate.

I honestly get the vibe she's tired of her Jazz efforts being ignored but I could be totally wrong. I think if you ask her about her experiences with the Jazz album she'll really appreciate your more as a fan because you're taking an interest in the music that makes her feel really special. I won't go into it but her work with Tony has been so important to her, and I know it's genuine because of how she talked about it at our Meet and Greet. It must upset her when people seem to bypass all of that to ask for some old ass demo :( Honestly I feel like the older fans will enjoy the meet and greet much more because they'll be listening to her and just enjoying the conversation. Others just felt like it was an easy way to verbally communicate with her like it was Twitter :/ But of course everyone is different. I'm sure you'll have fun. You'll meet and get to know the people at the VIP Party and the Show before hand so you'll be super comfortable once you get in to meet her.

Thank you for your account of the night and all the info you've put a few of my fears to rest :) I'm going to enjoy the group chat so much and always intended to ask her respectful questions. You're so, so right about the whole 'give us Temple!!!' Etc questions. I'd NEVER ask her something like that!! In fact, I might be too nervous to ask anything lol!! Just wondering, were people able to give her gifts during the chat or photos, or did they still have to put them on a table? Oh and I think I fit into the 'older fan' group, I'm 30 (actually older than Gaga!!! Lol) ;)

I don't understand why so many people(fans) seem to be ignoring C2C. I mean I'm not saying everyone has to love it, but as a fan I do want to hear it at least. what exactly do you mean about the twitter comment? I hate twitter and don't use it, but you mean like they were trying to have a back and forth convo with her or? And how exactly did the group thing work? Like did everyone get to take a turn or was it just random and whoever got in first or?

I never would have guessed you were over 30 but that's only because most people on here are young and even I feel like I'm ancient compared to the rest of her fan base and I'm 26. I think what James meant by the Twitter thing is that instead of being polite and having a well mannered conversation about something Gaga is passionate about such as Cheek to Cheek, some of the other fans were using the opportunity to mention Partynauseous and Temple when Gaga wasn't wanting to talk about that. So they were basically being inconsiderate then? Sounds like Twitter tbh.
Gagafan1974 0
It sounds amazing and I can't wait for my experience! Very exciting! Understand re the no signing thing (disappointed but that's how it goes) but it sounded like someone lost a signed tour book? So is that a gift? Or just lucky he got it? Thanks for the very detailed description (without giving anything sensitive away :))
Schwerk 7,055
Reading all this kicking myself I didnt get APZ. Im checking daily to see if one pops up anywhere in Europe. I've been so blessed to have met her so many times, I was so lucky. But I never got the chance to really talk to her for, tell her how much she means to my life. But I'm so happy to read all your stories and that you treat her openness with respect. And guys, I'm 'old' too, 29 in fact. It just doesn't feel right to stand outside of hotels anymore. But I'm pretty sure Gaga and I have a lot more memories to make. According to Gaga I'm a ****ing rad bitch
