The original TEOG one featured mermaids (and Marines), a transformation scene, a doctor, an old looking hospital, New York and the Brooklyn Bride Of course the director left so they made the TEOG video we have now I'm not even lying if you look it up you'll see set photos Anyway, everybody in my town + everyone I knew from other places really liked the song I know how it was supposed to be and it´s such a shame with TEOG... could have been really epic... Mass appeal doesn't quantify quality ever, sorry. And I don't think we can all agree that You and I was a bad single choice, seeing as a lot of non-Gaga fans I know have cited it as a song that is one of her best and a song that earned her newfound respect from them. If there is 70s influence, having a guitarist from Queen on the track is a pretty good indicator why. At the end of the day, everyone has different opinions about what is good music or not. That had nothing to do with the quality of the song but rather the kind of music you enjoy. I enjoy 70s music a lot. I enjoyed You & I and I also enjoyed HML and Scheisse too. I say a floppy song is intelligible and insignificant, not a well written out ballad that you failed to enjoy because you prefer bopping pop hits.
