Why it is so hard to still be a fan of the GaGa you got to know 2008

I want to quote this article: http://www.fanpop.com/clubs/lady-gaga/articles/67015/title/gaga-changed

Remember when you heard the new artist Lady Gaga, and her first hit single Just Dance? The artist with the long blonde beautiful wig with bangs and her fantastic pop music from her very first album. Every one of you liked all of her music and her other releases; Poker Face, Love Game, Paparazzi, Eh eh Nothing else I can say, Beautiful Dirty Rich, and Brown eyes. Her first album The Fame.

Remember when Lady Gaga released her new hit single Bad Romance. All of those songs we're amazing. She had her weird and cool fashion designs, different wigs, and her second album released. Bad Romance was amazing and got 248,000,000 veiws! The best song in the world. Her second hit single for her second album, The Fame Monster, was Telephone. She seemed a little different, but people still liked her.

And now she has her new song released, Alejandro. When I first saw her new music video to that song, something phased as I saw a whole different Gaga. She has this weird short hair, (which could be her real hair) no makeup, and the music video just freaked me out. Now she's like punk, wearing black most of the time, and just different from when she first became famous. It's like as if she took a whole new turn in her so called "pop" culture. I kind of don't agree with what she's up to now. But I guess I'm just a little creeped out. Sometimes you can't get used to somebody's change on the outside. But yeah, Gaga has changed and I'm trying to get used to it.

The article basically transports 100% my feelings. I loved everything from Just Dance to Telephone. Me as well, I detected some changes during the Telephone video (very long wait until release, a cutting structure that takes away the song's flow, Gaga's skind being very bright) but I still loved it.

But I don't like any of her looks since the Alejandro video. Nevertheless, I still liked her music, and I liked the music on Born This Way a lot. But I really disliked all the looks as well as the handling of the era, stuff the TEOG video, Y&I as an international single etc.

I also like ARTPOP. I really liked it when it came out. But the even worse treatment of this era, including the DWUW video failure and the current phase, in addition to the fact that I still don't like her looks, make it a bit hard for me to be a fan at the moment. Listening to ARTPOP gives me a negative side taste.

I don't expect her to always top her, because the handling of the first two eras was pretty perfect, but I simply don't want everything to be completely the opposite.

Arturo

I can't relate as far as back as you, but I became interested during Bad Romance and became a full fledged stan during Telephone.

I'm actually glad she changed.

I prefer the new gaga tbh  The music and fashion is so amazing now, and the connection she has with her fans is really evolving :)

I loved her old stuff, that's what grabbed my attention, but her constant innovation and new ideas is what keeps me a stan. If she was still creating music like pokerface no one would be a fan as it wouldn't be anything new.

No lies detected. I like her constantly changing, it's fun to watch. But I think her downfall was the forceful controversy and preachiness she was trying to shove down everyones throats (which started around the Alejandro era). Still love her fashion and music though, especially the music, which gets better every album.
