LaLuna 12,732
I don't know, I absolutely adore Venus, but I don't get the same feeling when I listen to Venus and Bad Romance. Venus to me is just a really fun song that puts me in a good mood, but Bad Romance is just so powerful and epic... And the "I don't wanna be friends" part makes me emotional for some reason. They're both amazing songs, but not for the same reasons.
Ambrosia 3,775
No, it's not even close to Bad Romance. But, it isn't horrible either. Jk! :P This post made me chuckle a little. "...isn't horrible" is a good way to describe Venus. ************************************************* Venus is a neat, snappy tune that never fails to put me in a good mood. I sing it a lot and over-exaggerate the lyrics as it's so much fun. I think it will be a huge fan favorite and a big hit and crowd pleaser at her concerts. However, BR is powerful. Psycho, vertigo, rear window - I love all the Hitchcock references and thought it very clever and unique how she included them in the song. One never would have thought there was so much innuendo in Hitchcock. And the emotion in her voice was incredible. I guess I like songs where it's obvious the song is being sung to someone - not a song to everyone, if that makes sense. I guess I'm a pressed Gypsy stan. Do not do to others what angers you if done to you by others. -Socrates
gagabro 268
Bad Romance is pure pop perfection Venus is confused. (I like Venus a lot, though.)

djBuffoon 12,115
Gaga's passion for music and ear for melody is equally audible in both.
Stefani328 321
Venus doesn't even come close to Bad Romance. BR is pop perfection. The lyrics, the flow, the beat, and her voice. Venus sounds too disjointed. It seems like she tried to fit too much in one song. The best part of Venus is the chorus. BR entire song>> Venus chorus. UzK 95
Bad Romance was a love at first listen, unlike Venus which I had to grow into. So honestly, I'd say no, but after those few listens it's now one of my faves either way.

Klou 2,414
I like it better. I can guarantee if it ever goes #1 people will bandwagon and say it's better than BR.
Alchemist 0
No, this mash-up is not even close to Godly Romance. kii
Sakrai 4,759
Both songs prove that Gaga is a genius when it comes to pop music. Bad Romance was so legendary because it showed how genius gaga is. She shocked. Everything about BR is genius, and it helped gaga's career a lot. Venus is exactly the same. Conceptually it has so many layers, it's quirky, full of puns, risky, etc. What it lacks in production, it makes up in sheer craziness. And if executed correctly, it can be as possitive to gaga's career as BR was. Both songs are godly, equaly good. Oh, I'm just visiting-
tristessa 0
No. Lyrically especially not. No offense to Venus, I know Gaga worked hard on both and I like it too, but Bad Romance is on another level imo.
