Bio 23,538
This would have been a mess tbh. Nothing to do with ARTPOP or Applause. And the whole people dressed like her idea, Madonna's done it in the 90s and Eminem a little while later.
Antidote 95
The pics look like something you can find on the Deep Web It looks creepy and I love it, but I guess MTV also had to deny it because a lot of young people watch the show and yeah the pics are really really creepy. Also if they really denied it, it's an explanation for this performance of Applause, but it's not an excuse for all the lame DWUW performances where she was just standing there in a golden overall, doing nothing special (sorry I have to say it like that, I really think the performances were disappointing ) Edited February 2, 2014 by Antidote
feelitinmybones 0
The thing is, if you're looking at say, the Baroque period of art, it was pretty gruesome and "in the action". But to be honest most of the GP don't know that, and they may of seen blood and torture and just thought she was nuts, not getting the real message of it. But in saying that I don't really understand the full performance... was there torture scenes the whole performance? I hate blood & gore etc but I feel like it could of been interesting and certainly entertaining. I don't think it would of been like Saw or something aha. Shame :( I liked her performance but this one sounds so interesting and more "ARTPOP", for lack of a better word. Bringing a fun, pop song into art. Like what her true intentions with this album were.

Leninsdog 3
If MTV felt Miley would bring in the most viewers and decided to focus more on her, then they are completely within their right to orchestrate their own show that way. Gaga just has to accept that as long as she is in the pop music industry, she will have to follow a set of rules and accept that her ideas have to be filtered and modified for certain circumstances. (She might have accepted this already for all we know, but somehow I doubt it.) If she truly wants to become an unfiltered artist, then, like someone said before, she would have to go indie. I think it's becoming more and more apparent that art and pop do NOT always go together. I don't believe that POP is POP because pop music industry
