Didymus 34,379
@Didymus If you look on his Cayova account, there is an article about him (an interview) where it mentions the 2 volumes. Thanks, but.. that's it? That doesn't mean anything.
Andertxu 2
I really would like 2 volumes. It is possible that they won't sell as much as TF-TFM, but with the BTW sales is quite enough. I just want to get slayed by her.
Doogi 1,506
I am an insider. Ask me anything about ARTPOP. :Whitney: Edited May 24, 2013 by Doogi I'm Chloe. Except the C and the L are silent.
Didymus 34,379
I'm quite amazed at how people are now like: "Yeah, but TF and TFM were two volumes too!" while, like, a week ago people were furious at anyone who dared to say that TFM wasn't a full studio album
Rollercoaster 2
You can have 2 full studio albums that are volumes. it's like saying Lord of the rings isn't a full book because it's part of a set!
Didymus 34,379
You can have 2 full studio albums that are volumes. it's like saying Lord of the rings isn't a full book because it's part of a set! Lord of the Rings was written as one book, honey No, but I see a difference. It was never planned in advance that The Fame and The Fame Monster would be two volumes of the same concept, and frankly, they're not That's the difference with ARTPOP. It would be "Volume 1", "Volume 2" of the very same concept. Basically two EP's which, together, form a full album. That's how it will be sold when the two volumes are out, anyway Edited May 24, 2013 by Didymus
Rollercoaster 2
how do you know the themes won't contrast? So many assumptions.
Didymus 34,379
Because she refers to ARTPOP as a whole. Because it's one era, not two. "I think I want to release my album in two parts" does not equal "I think I might write an album about the dark side of fame" Edited May 24, 2013 by Didymus
mrlemon 577
Because she refers to ARTPOP as a whole. Because it's one era, not two. "I think I want to release my album in two parts" does not equal "I think I might write an album about the dark side of fame" My thoughts exactly, people are starting to assume too much. Gaga, Ke$ha, and Ava
Mars 2,371
I suppose she could release it in two parts but she did say it feels like one solid body of work like Born This Way was and not TF/TFM.
Prometheus 1,494
I think you're sort of missing the point about the volumes though. They are trying to say that the second volume IS a new album, just like Monster is a new album (in ep format). The only reason why it's not looked at that way is because Interscope repackaged the album in the U.S. I do agree that two cds of Born This Way was kind of overkill, but then again lots of the material on Born This Way weren't really single material so it's not like all of those songs went to waste either. We also have to keep in mind that the APP is going to play a big part in how they release the music, so we may have a second volume for free via the app. I have no idea, I don't think any of us do. I hope they don't restrict some songs to the app because when I have a favorite artist like Lady Gaga I want the music in a physical form.
JPM 781
I don't believe ARTPOP will come into two volumes and I don't want to. I want a normal CD with 14 tracks and no other special editions.
SMILE2NE1 3,566
Because she refers to ARTPOP as a whole. Because it's one era, not two. "I think I want to release my album in two parts" does not equal "I think I might write an album about the dark side of fame" Yet nonetheless, in the world of Gaga, and especially as of late, everything she has said is tentative. We should know that her plans are so subject to such change that no one should really be telling others off for making certain assumptions as all assumptions are equally a unreliable as conjectures - especially when it comes to the subject matter and release nature of ARTPOP. MonsterOfSpain 8,318
I thought the 2 volumes idea was descarted a long time ago. I don't like that, I think that, as I already said before, ARTPOP has to be a whole solid album, with 14 or 15 tracks and maybe a Special Edition too.
