Dylangaga 216
I feel music is slowly moving away from EDM so it'll be interesting to see how the gp respond. yeah it is because I read Beyonce, britney spears and justin timberlake are doing more urban music and r&b..I've been thinking how the public will react since I read that article on blog.martian

No, there more so moving away from Dance. Not EDM, EDM has never really been full out mainstream. Its popular, but its no huge player on the radio. For example deadmau5 is popular, but his music isnt radio popular. There are going to be plenty of other influences on ARTPOP, not just EDM, so we wont really know how the album will be and how the gp will feel about it until it is released. HeavyMetalMonst 0
At this point I just hope the album Is not fully EDM music. I love to see her more soft sides with songs like Speechless, You And I and Brown Eyes. I really hope she releases Princess Die as a bonus track and I would love to see some dub step as well :tea:

The Stranger 4
What's so bad about dubstep? Dubstep can be done well if it's not Skrillex.
Miel 15,009
What's so bad about dubstep? Dubstep can be done well if it's not Skrillex. I think any artist can sound pretty progressive if they shift away from more brostep-y sounds of "mainstream"-step/popstep. There are a lot of variations of dubstep that haven't made it out onto the radio yet, I'm pretty sure. No, there more so moving away from Dance. Not EDM, EDM has never really been full out mainstream. Its popular, but its no huge player on the radio. For example deadmau5 is popular, but his music isnt radio popular. True, EDM is such a wide genre and can be very versatile. I'm actually a bit excited to see how she takes it with the new album. TF/M was very much electronic-dance/europop, while BTW had much more heavier, classic-rock influences fused with it. I wonder what she'll do with ARTPOP. You should be open-minded about EDM music and its possible influence on ARTPOP, because if that's the direction that the album is going to take, I can already see the ''It sounds so generic'' comments. Electronic doesn't mean generic necessarily. As long as she doesn't follow what the current trend is following, EDM on ARTPOP could be anything. And honestly, many of the songs on the radio are starting to sound so alike that throwing something in sounding fresh would probably be the smartest idea anyway. 3 points in and ready for more
heavyMetalGAGA 65
You guys will probably think I'm delusional, but I think Gaga should wait like a month after she finishes touring to release the something. If she has a month to rest I think it will pay off because I think she'll feel better and then the promo performances will be better and her voice might be a bit stronger after some rest. Also a month might give her some extra time for her and her family or Taylor or just anything she choses to make her happy, and If Gaga feels good and happy, I think it will reflect on her performances and interviews. But then again since it is the first single it should do well with minimal hype, so Gaga could still somewhat rest and have a single out.

heavyMetalGAGA 65
* The second line about succeeding in Pop sort of links to the idea of fame in pop where the blonde female is the star but people sort of her destroy her for things she does - there is an element of crime to everything she does. ALBUM TITLE: Element of Crime I'm calling it Rereading some old posts....lol we've come sort of far :smh: :smh:
