Its about ART and POP living together side by side. Why would you release an album where your title track says "we could belong together" and you seperate the experimental from the classic gaga? On another note, I would loooove if Gaga tweeted "Hey monsters, I came up with a whole new idea for ARTPOP, back to the drawing board #goodthingscometothosewhowait" and then a few hours later tweeted "JK, ARTPOP Release date _______" Is that terrible or what?? Coldplay 217 Posted May 24, 2013 Share Posted May 24, 2013 .If she plans on releasing two volumes then each volume should have at least 12 songs since 12 songs is the minimum amount of songs a full studio LP should contain if I'm not mistaken. I think it's not about the amount of songs, it's about the length of the whole album. As an example, MGMT's Congratulations has only 9 songs, but Siberian Breaks (one of the songs) is 12:09 minutes long. The album is 43:00 minutes or so, that makes it a LP. I don't think she ever said she was going to split apart POP and ART. It's ALL POP, and it's ALL ART. I think she meant that some of the tracks are sonically more experimental and others more commercial and she's thinking about putting the two on separate albums. That doesn't mean that they won't ALL be part of the ARTPOP experience/project. Remember, with the introduction of the app and such, ARTPOP doesn't have to be like previous album eras. I think it's all going to be new. From the music itself to the marketing and distribution. Maybe post album release, the focus won't be entirely on singles and music videos any longer.
