But its kind of a double edged sword.. sometimes you need to do a song... and leave it the way it is when you first compose it.. rather than change it 22 different times.. because that usually leads to over production and Born This Way had plenty of that... If she's over-producing songs again I'm gonna kill a kitty. Born This Way was like the realm of over-produced songs and it was really BAD... I love Heavy Metal Lover because they didn't put too much thinking and effort in it, it's very synthesized, very auto-tuned but I like it they way it is... I love the Heavy Metal Lover because they didn't put too much thinking and effort in it, it's very synthesized, very auto-tuned but I like it they way it is... Like, the studio and live versions are way different, and we both know which one is better. I do think that You and I is flawless though. Ursula Buffay 73 Posted March 1, 2013 Share Posted March 1, 2013 (edited) Usually songs that are over-produced end up feeling like a music studio in your head when you listen to them, because artists tweak the song constantly to ""make it perfect"", while it just ruins it. Listen to Marry The Night, at the end you just want to stop the song because it brings you headaches, too much instruments, too much EFFORT put in it that turned to be negative.
