Well, I believe the album is mostly ready... She's probably stuck with the app/music video for he first single/short movies for every song/promotional schedule. I hope it all turns out fine :)

Lets say she releases it in the spring....it'll be 2 years since she put out a record. If she releases the lead single soon itll be less than a year and a half since she put out a single. Like the wait seems ridiculous because we're all sitting here waiting for the water to boil. But when you literally sit and watch the pot for the water to boil it feels like it takes longer than it actually is (especially when Rihanna's pumping out 1 album a year, Katy's era was so successful it lasted 2 years, and Nicki's throwing out re-releases like crazy).

The only thing with Gaga is that because she was so ambitious with the BTWB it took a year for the tour to actually begin and 2 for it to finally reach NA and the fact that the singles underperformed makes it seem even longer. Had they had longevity we might be viewing this all differently but thats not the reality of the situation so idk. The timing was ****ed up but now she has to live with it and its probably a factor in why this new album hasn't been released yet. I personally can't wait for the BTW era to officially just end already and for the ARTPOP era to begin. My guess is that the actual album is probably coming within the next 4-5 months.

I mean with Ke$ha there was COMPLETE silence until randomly single info popped up with a release date and the album info followed soon after. That's probably what will happen with Gaga. It all seems far off until one day its being laid out in front of you lol

Bravo, well said my friend. At this point, whenever GaGa says "New music is coming sooner than expected," that may be what she means. That there won't be an announcment of an announcment, just her saying "OK new single next week! Artwork being released tomorrow." Opposed to the almost 2 month wait on New Years Eve after she dropped the promo image (the epic promo image might I say). And that brings me to another point, why can't she at least release even a still from a photoshoot to show what we should expect in terms of creativity and art, the album is afterall called ARTPOP.

I think maybe her eyes were bigger than her stomach. She loves making music and touring -- but like she alluded to in that awful Skype chat, she's been doing this since pre-The Fame. I'm sure she's worn out. And so I think she's delaying ARTPOP more and more because she's not quite ready to go full force into promoting and touring a whole new album -- especially since BTW is still touring. It's a huge commitment.

Obviously there's something going on that we don't know about. She announced in June 2012 that she'd be releasing the album title soon thereafter. Didn't she say something like -- I played the new album for my label and will be releasing the title soon -- ??

Then we were given Stache/High Princess as an "appetizer" for what's to come on ARTPOP -- well that was in October, I'm hungry again. Plus all the music publications were told "an early 2013 release." Well, I don't consider the summer as early.

Honestly, I don't even care anymore. After the skype chat whatever it was...I was pretty disappointed we didn't get any real ARTPOP info. But now, I just want her to do whats best for her. Let her take the time she needs, and when she feels she's made the best possible product she can, she can release it. If she feels she needs time, let her take the time she needs to focus on her art. There have been times when I just needed to slow down and take some time to truly figure out what it is I want to do. So I say let Gaga do what feels right. ARTPOP will be done someday, and when it is we can all enjoy it. No point in rushing her or putting pressure on her to release something she doesn't want to release yet. In the end it's HER art, and it's HER name thats going on it. When she feels the new album/project is ready, we can all rejoice! :yes:

Since The Fame Gaga always puts a record out after the tour.

The Fame Monster came after she finished The Fame Ball Tour

Born This Way came out right after the Monster Ball Tour.

So right now we are actually in a typical situation. Nothing dramatic has happened compared to the Born This Way anticipation. The only difference is that Gaga this time around is very quiet about what's going on and has not given any specific information.

But we have all the clues that say the record will drop somewhere soon after the Born This Way Ball. Gaga spent very much time of her off-tour breaks in 2012 in Chicago. She was there all the time after Asia/Oceania Leg, after EU Leg, after South America leg and I think she will return there for a couple of months after the tour.

You see, Chicago is a city with a rich Urban and underground culture, which in a way reminds of the New York scene where Gaga emerged as a performer (it's not that diverse, but still it counts). Gaga spending much time in the same place reminded me of herself starting up in NYC back in 2005/2006. I believe this time around Chicago was the workshop for her new record, and considering Jeff from Interscope heard 3-4 tracks, and Vincent told the journalist 5-6 songs were ready and Gaga herself confirming that there is a release date for the album, we are not that far away from ARTPOP :cryga:
