I really don't get why people here are tricking themselves into thinking ARTPOP will be so iconic and it will have all these #1's and stuff like that. We havn't heard it yet. Release the video 2 weeks later after teasing it with screenshots like Alejandro and telephone. In mid February, put out 15 second snippets of some tracks on ARTPOP. This happens during the Grammy show. Mid March, Gaga should put out a YouTube video designed as promo for single 2. Like the Scheiße snippets. Late March, Gaga releases single 2 and starts a 24 hour countdown to the video release. The week after single 2, Gaga puts out a video compilation which includes 15 different songs. It lasts 3 minutes. The end of the video shows a mid April release date. Album is released 3 weeks after single 2. Single 1 isn't important. If people get a new gaga track its slaying the chart. Should be a party anthem that people will appreciate though. Maybe drop in some dance moves to the lyrics like bloody Mary. Single 2 is very important. Needs telephone bpm and feeling of "omg I need to dance so much!". It will be the determining single for album success. 2 singles = 2 huge hits. And didn't Gaga say something in Little Monsters chat about creating a new sub genre? Everyone here seems to ignore that. Either that or I don't remember what she said correctly. Possibly, or that could refer to it being something minor that will tide us over. I just want good quality pop-dance music so I pray that it's up to par. That's how I always feel. Especially when BTW came out. I always feel like ARTPOP will stray away from pop and be more electronic while still having pop routes. I hate when people on here complain about commercial songs! She needs that to stay alive. I get she is riding on success with the BTWB but she needs a new album to stop the BTW flopping crap. If that keeps going the stupid general public will eventually hear it and ignore her. With the BTWB flopping crap that the media is "reporting" is ruining her public appeal (Yes she won some of that back with TEOG) because the general public listens to the media and tabloids, not real sales. We need a few We Found Loves in a row to keep her alive with the GP. As far as Gaga=Gay goes, I think she needs that to be a thing only we notice. Not the GP, because most people haven't accepted gays yet. I want me and the other strait Gaga fans to able to say "I like gaga" without that being written off as gay. She needs to make record-breaking music that appeals to all people (other strait boys) not just gays and girls (mostly). She should perform at the Grammys to get attention for her music not just her outfits. Anyone who says otherwise is delusional and doesn't know what's best for Gaga/ her fans. Ok. That's all! It was a bad example, sales wise, but it's a **** song tbh. I honestly think she's going all-out sales wise this era, from having less controversy and more fun, to producers that are going to be able to make radio friendly tracks with her. I do think it's funny that Justin Bieber was pretty much her Guinea Pig for testing Zedd hahaha I think we're going to get something as big as WFL from this album, if not bigger. Ok, so I just looked up WFL in google, and as of the last update, it's sold about 7M. BTW was bigger than that. Gaga will have no problemo. It's the 2nd single that needs the hype, just as I thought, as Rihanna's followup, TTT, was attrocious both as a song, and in its performance on the charts. Although you couldn't be blamed for believing that WFL was bigger than anything Gaga's ever done, because radio in America is in control of everything about the charts, which is completely stupid. The chart is meant to be a measure of what's done better during the week, who's sold more, what track is making waves, but it seems that the Billboard chart is just a measure of which stations play which track more, which is pathetic.
