Geoff or troy or someone. I can feel it. Also... ARTPOP the song, if it contains the "my heart beats" etc lyrics... will always remind me of retro physical haha Rolling Stone said she could have new material before she hit the US because Gaga had told them she would probably release her next album while on tour. If it isn't a hit, I think that her superstar status will diminish significantly. Harsh but true. With BTW she became VERY gay-centric and I think that made her a "gay" act in the eyes of the general audience that had embraced her during The Fame era. Even Madonna had a good seven years before she started with the overt gay stuff so that's why today Madonna has plenty of straights that fill her concerts. Gaga NEEDS a hit as big as Bad Romance. If ARTPOP is solid she will have that fourth hit album that will really consolidate her career. I really hope it's worth the wait. I love how her name-dropping the gays (along with many different types of people) in a song suddenly turned her into a gay act when she's been all about the gay community from the beginning. She wasn't gay-centric during The Fame when she thanked "god and the gays" several times at award shows, talked about how it was her mission to turn the world gay, told Kanye West (in regards to the Fame Kills tour) that she/her show/her fans were all gay, personally thanked Ellen for being an inspiration for the gay community, admitted that Poker Face was her fantasizing about women, called her relationship with the gay community the biggest thrill of her career, put the industry on blast for its homophobia, or even when the world thought she was a drag queen? Or with TFM when she actually gave public speeches for gay rights, released two very gay-centric videos (Telephone and Alejandro), and fought hard against DATD? I mean, honestly, most of the mainstream female artists are the way they are because of Gaga. That may sound to preachy, but looking at how artists have changed since Gaga hit the scene, I think it fits the bill. For starters, since Gaga came out, Katy, Kesha, Rihanna, Nicki and more have all gone for a much weirder performance style and persona. I realize Nicki and Kesha came out after Gaga but they are still products of the post Gaga music industry. I know about the NOBTR in the car but i'm clueless rn. she played a song many think was the title track from the album, I hadn't heard Retro Physical before, but was all "it sounds like 'some girls won't dance to the beat of the track' in the melody from DITD" and it sounds like the first word is heart. I've come to the conclusion that it was Retro Physical. It has been changed from Retro Physical, obviously, to be more up to date, but the hook of Retro Physical is in there amongst all the "music, ARTPOP, baby, music, gaga, baby" lol. How have you not heard it?! The beat is even the same for that little poem (lyrics?) that she put up... they're almost definitely lyrics IMO. "My heart beats just like a cherry soda... in the summer... Go go go, don't be difficult about it... get off it.." "My heart can beat with bricks and strings" That one.
