JusKeepBreathin 19,311
I know if you stream, for example Applause 100 times, (but you can stream same track only up to 10 times per day) it equals 1 single sale. :) Where does it say the you can only listen to a track 10x's a day and it equate to a single sale? I have looked for this info on Spotify and Billboard and I can't find any info on it. As a matter of fact I found an interesting story about an indie band mad with Spotify so they upload an album called Sleepify to raise money for a concert tour. The album contained nothing but silence and the band asked its fans to play it on repeat while they slept. Spotify removed the album from their service but not after paying $20,000 in royalties for a couple of months of streaming. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sleepify "Nothing in the world is more dangerous than sincere ignorance and conscientious stupidity." -Martin Luther King Jr.

Right 1500 is a record sale because the equation for Spotify streams is $0.006 x 1500 = $9.00 about the price of a sale priced album. So it shouldn't matter how much one person streams a song. Slay! It just tells a store that band forced fans to leave their Spotify streaming, it's like same Gaga would say with ARTPOP, imagine 100 stans doing this, 10 times same song counts, so we will get 10*100=1000 Streams of ARTPOP, meaning 1000 streams of each tracks, meaning 15 songs geting 1000 streams each, in total 1000*15=15 000 streams, from just 100 stans. :) Or maybe you can stream unlimited but I have red by Spotify itself that they count 10 plays of the same track per 24 hours to avoid spamming. I have looked for it in their polices. I can't find it anywhere. Why you think Ariana is in the top ten on Billboard? SEA and TEA, 13 year olds streaming Love Me Harder on repeat. It already has 75M Streams on Spotify. Last week Ariana Grande only sold 7,000 pure albums but she is in at #10 on Billboard 200. Compare that to 28,000 pure album sales of the #9 one Direction. Ariana's Album is already certified Platinum by RIAA too.
