Im really not interested in this. Mostly because I only see it marketed about a the new gay tv show, and not what the main plot has besides a gay couple. Also, because its probably just another softcore **** with cute romantic momments from the main couples here and there. Ugh.

(I was hoping to be wrong, but looking back in the thread and seeing the most commented parts of the series were shower scenes, s-x scenes and having a crush on the hot actors, I was sadly right)

You have to watch it before give a judgement, otherwise you're talking about nothing.

This show has different arguments, not only s-x.

And to be honest, speaking in general, people who complain about s-x in a gay tv show, sorry but it's ridicolous, there is always s-x in straight tv shows or movies, always, what do you expect? That in a tv show about gay relationship that they talk about chastity? It's the Gay World, s-x is a huge part of that, don't act like a nun with me on in this topic.

:)

Omg I need Dom to split me into 2 tbh

Need that too :hor:

I might give it a try someday, but so far its being bothering me because everytime I see someone talking about this show, is in a s-xual way, its about how amazing it is to watch a show of these hot gays showering or having s-x.

I dont expect it to NOT have s-x, s-x is completely natural. But Im bothered by how gays are marketed as only s-x on TV. Like on Skins, for example, I loved Maxxie, the only gay character, but it seemed like his only part in the show was to blow Tony on that trip. That gay character on 2 Broke Girls, everytime hes on screen hes talking about how hes a bottom and wants to have s-xy with Oleg. First season of American Horror Story, the main reason the gay couple existed was to introduce the leather outfit. I could go on. The thing is not to have s-x, but to portray it on a s-xual way. You hardly see gays being portrayed as normal people, like "Okay, theyre gay, whatever", but just as "Ohh, theyre gay, thats so hot". Im not sure if Im being clear but thats just my opinion.

I just want to see gays on a series being threated like any other straight couple, is just a normal couple, not just hot guys that could easily be **** actors walking around wearing just towels and then having s-x. When I want to watch **** I actually watch ****.

When I first read about Looking I thought it was a love story, s-x included, yes, but not as the main reason why anyone should watch it. But the way everyone talks about it, its just how s-xy those gays are, how the s-x scene was hot or how they want this character and that character to ****. I may be wrong about it, I hope I am and Ill give it a try later, but Im mostly giving my opinion on the whole gay-situation on todays movies and TV.

KaanBTW

Second episode was better than first one. It was funny and s-xy.

I'm glad we had some s-x scenes because it makes show more realistic.

Patrick is so cute and funny. Dom finally let it go his feelings and I guess Agustin will have soe problems soon. And finally I really like Richie and Dorris too.

ps: I really love that character who was on the shower. It made me laugh. :sara:

I understand your point of view, the argument is complex for me to discuss in english, I am kind of agree with your points, but you made particular examples, '2 Broke Girls', 'American Horror Story' are particular series, more irrealistic than 'Harry Potter' with irrealistic situations and characters. 'Looking' situation is completely different, for now the situations are proposed in a realistic way with all the kind of gay people more or less... Also 'Queer as Folk' had a lot of s-x scene, club, dark rooms situation, and to be honest is also true that the majority of gay people are often in this way... If I can suggest you, watch 'Teen Wolf' the gay situations are proposed in absolutely normal way, the gay character are very normal, trust me.
