As Taylor's BS scores a 4th week at #1 on the HOT 100, she'd need only two more weeks at the top to tie the cumulative #1 weeks of Adele and Kesha and become among the female acts with the third-most weeks at #1 in the current decade. If BS continues its #1 streak next week, TS will also tie Eminem's combined weeks at #1 in the 2010s.

Also, once 2014 ends, so does the first half of the current decade. For those who are interested with the top acts (of the Mainstream Top 40, HOT 100, Billboard 200) of the first half of the 2010s, I'll post a separate thread here in this section by the end of the year.

Dangerous Man

Take Me To Church is indeed a great song. Better than any rock songs I've heard since that Imagine Dragons' hit.

As earlier reported, it's another week at #1 for 1989 (total of 5 weeks at the top). It is now Taylor's 18th week at #1 on the Billboard 200 in the 2010s. It is also 2014's 2nd longest-reigning #1 album, just behind Disney's Frozen Soundtrack.

Here's the current standing of the top album acts with the most weeks at #1 in the 2010s so far:

Rank / Artist / # of #1 albums / Combined Weeks at #1

1. Adele - 1 #1, 24 weeks
2. Taylor Swift - 3 #1s, 18 weeks
3. Frozen Cast - 1 #1, 13 weeks
4. Eminem - 3 #1s, 10 weeks
5. Justin Bieber - 5 #1s, 8 weeks

Without any major album expected to be released in the first two weeks of January (except Meghan's debut album) and the inclusion of TEAs into the BB 200 rankings, 1989 should have no problem in scoring 2 more weeks at #1, aside from the remaining weeks of this year.

Anyway, Nicki's Pinkprint will be released very soon and it should meet with really exciting news. I expect it to debut at #1 come Christmas week. And if it does, it's going to be Nicki's 3rd #1 album on the BB 200. She'd be the 9th act (and the 3rd female solo) to score at least 3 #1 albums in the 2010s, if ever. And not only that, she also has a chance to join an elite group of females to have their first three studio albums peak at #1 (following Britney Spears and Beyoncé). Queen of rap, indeed.

Rule #1: you can't rule a year without a 2m selling album.

Then why are people saying that Iggy ruled 2014? :usrs:

Style was a sure #1 from day one, it has that good vibe.
Though i think she should make Bad Blood single 3, with all the Perry feud promo with her superball coming at this time.
