I consider Bang Bang to be a duet between two musicians ; Jessie & Ariana, as they both share 1 verse & chorus vocals and ad libs, they're equal.

Whether its deluxe or standard, its on My Everything.

Nicki's contribution is an extra. Lets drop this topic already.

its established - Bang Bang is one of My Everything's singles.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe no one is disputing that 'Bang Bang' is a single by Ariana Grande with the other two and it happens to also be featured on ME. So technically, yeah, it's a single which could be found on Ariana's album. But when BB was announced to be released by the three, it was heavily, if not universally, promoted as the lead single for Jessie J's album - and at the same time noted that the song would also be included on Ariana's album, not necessarily a new single from it.

Here's an excerpt from a Billboard article:

On Tuesday (July 1), it was announced that Jessie J, Ariana Grande and Nicki Minaj are combining for a new single, "Bang Bang," that is sure to be one of the high-wattage pop singles of the summer when it's released on July 29. "Bang Bang" will be the lead single for Jessie J's next album, due out this fall, and will be included on the deluxe edition of Ariana Grande's sophomore album "My Everything," which arrives on Aug. 25.

And when BB debuted within the top 10 of the Hot 100, its same status was reiterated:

"Bang Bang" is the lead single from Jessie J's yet-to-be-titled upcoming album and will also be included on Grande's forthcoming sophomore set My Everything (due Aug 25). The song's debut is powered in part by its sales start: it shifted 230,000 downloads in the week ending Aug. 3 — the second biggest bow of the year (following Grande's "Problem," with 438,000 in the week ending May 4).

Its status as the lead single by Jessie J for ST more than as the 3rd single of Ariana from ME was then strengthened by the promotion of 'One Last Time' as the 4th single off ME throughout the media all over the world:

I believe there's a debate/confusion regarding BB's status amongst fans because it's arguably the first time a single between two or more artists all billed as the co-lead was released as a lead single by one artist and at the same time was also included on the album of the other co-lead. But as I've earlier mentioned, lead singles tend to weigh more than later singles, and then there's the current billing of them with Jessie J as the first one among the artists being mentioned.

For comparison's sake, let's discuss the almost similar case of 45S with Rihanna, Kanye, and Paul all being billed as co-lead, but it's always Rihanna being mentioned first and it's been universally promoted as the lead single from Rihanna's upcoming album. If either Kanye or Paul decide to include 45S on their next albums, whether on the standard edition or the deluxe, chances are people would call 45S as a single from their album/s too because the song is featured there, but not necessarily promoted as one. So yeah, by all means, it's their single too, but it's also the lead single of Rihanna from her own album, and therefore people would associate the single with Rihanna's album more than anything despite it being also featured from other albums thanks to its established promotion and the billing of the artists themselves. Same goes with Jessie J and Ariana Grande regarding 'Bang Bang'.

I never denied or ignored the fact that its Jessie J's lead single...

What i'm trying to establish here is that Bang Bang is as much of an Ariana single as its a Jessie J single, meaning it should be included as an official single on My Everything & Sweet Talker's eras. respectively.

Exactly. But it's not considered as a single from ME as much as it's considered as a single from ST. This is what I'm trying to convey with my 2 earlier posts.

That's still arguable considering Ariana is the main contributor to the song's success. on other reports / interviews its credited as a shared a single (with it being the 1st single off Jessie's album) due to the fact that its more of a duet rather than just a collaboration. Ariana & Jessie are under the same label umbrella and unless i'm wrong the song is indeed credited to be a ME single as well according to Ariana's management.

Yup. It's without a doubt a shared single by the three artists and it's shared by the two albums in terms of being included on the albums themselves. But whoever contributed the most to the single's success is a different matter from which album was it more associated to. And if we've to base it on the majority of the media promotion for Bang Bang, including the official charts like Billboard, OCC, and ARIA, it's clear that it's more associated to Jessie J's album more than Ariana Grande's album despite of the single being present on both albums and the two of them being co-lead artists.

I may also agree that it should be included in the official list of singles from ME, and therefore OLT should be considered as the 5th single from the album because it's indeed the 5th single featured from the album, but what should be is unfortunately not the same as what is observed by the majority, and not just by the fanbase or the artist's management. Hence, it's no surprise why some, if not most, would consider BB as a single of Jessie J from her album more than a single from Ariana's album.

I guess if only BB was promoted both as a single from both albums from the very beginning when / even before it was released, and not just BB being also included on Ariana's album aside from being the lead single for Jessie J, then there won't be a confusion at all regarding its status.

Since OLT is slowing down, I really hope they will still release another single from ME and I think Hands On Me will be a great final single. I watch her Honeymoon tour performance of that song and she's slaying it live, dancing and singing wise. Imagine if she perform it on big tv events like award shows, she'll def. get a lot of recognition. Plus, it will also help her gain urban fans.
